Description: First patch incorporating the Serge Homebuilt into the larger Eurorack Modular setup.

For this challenge, Type Set, I used the sound of a keyboard typing the first two stanza's of Edgar Allan Poe's, 'The Raven' .  The typing was performed and recorded by my close collaborator, JC Petkovich, who used a JD40 which he built and dropped into a CNC'ed aluminum case. JC also added foam between the PCB and case to dampen the noise, the switches are Aqua Zilent switches which are also very quiet. The keyboard recording was then processed using Supercollider to "tune" the key sounds using a band pass filter. In addition,  recordings of raindrops as well ravens were also similarly processed and used in the final piece. The work was assembled and mixed in Ableton Live 10 and some software instruments were added.

EMU Morpheus spielt klanglich die tragende Rolle. Zoom ARQ96 liefert die selbstgenerierende Sequenzierung.

A Rough Patch Disquiet 0488

For the Reverse Delay prompt, I generated a piece I have named Hallucinogenetic.  In a moment of self-delusion, I bought, not one, but two Morphogene modules. In a rack, there they sat, unused for longer than I cared to remember - intimidating like an oversized canvas is to a small tube of paint.  So this was a perfect prompt to get some time with these modules - for which I am grateful.  We all need a push sometimes.  In any case, I plucked a small 10 second sample of strings and a second shorter sample of woodwinds which were installed one each onto the two Morphogene module SD cards.  The result, Hallucinogenetic was recorded in one take on one track into Ableton Live with some compression, EQ and reverb.  It definitely has some ragged edges but the process has demonstrated to me the potential of these modules.

A 20 second recording of a fictional insect. The two core sounds were recorded in multiple variations from the modular, then sequenced and randomized on the computer.
