Hello everyone,

I trust you're all well. This week's assignment brought forth a truly original challenge. Regrettably, my attempts to fulfill it fell short. Despite trying out a couple of speech-to-text software applications, including subscribing to some, none proved capable of deciphering the speech within the field recordings I provided. In a rather bizarre turn of events, one of the apps glitched while processing the sound of church bells, resulting in the peculiar transcription captured in the attached image.

Undeterred by this setback, I decided to channel this odd occurrence into the heart of my creative process for the week's piece of music. Additionally, my explorations led me to a newfound fascination with an app discovered during my research: https://ttsfree.com/ and https://tuna.voicemod.net/.

In crafting my musical composition, I employed the familiar tools of FL Studio and the captivating Arturia instruments. As the week draws to a close, I extend my well-wishes to all for a restful and enjoyable weekend ahead.

From a simple start to a complex rhythm - this track slowly builds a complex beat from scratch - as suggested by the Disquiet Junto Project 0619.

There's no need for percussions to do this - the beat is mainly built with orchestral instruments, adding layer by layer, but electronic and other instruments also join in.

In my track https://soundcloud.com/rabmusiclab/deconstructivism-explained the process runs backwards, starting with the complete, complex rhythm and removing layer by layer to deconstruct it.

The ICO Obernburg is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Therefore a lot of great artists were showing photos, sculptures, paintings. But there was music too and so I had the chance to create half an installation and half a performance the whole day long in a beautiful old working space. I was deeply focussing on working with the ambience of the room itself but also with the visitors coming and leaving. There are 17 takes I have recorded to show how my work has evolved over time.
