Fluxion continues to carve his own musical path, taking us all together to a personal journey in his inner world, moods and moments, showcasing the importance of being influenced by none other than real life moments, people, expectations, joy, dreams and disappointments. Expressing what comes from the inside, instead of the outside. Creating a more intimate work, is at the main focus of the artist since his previous album Perspectives that came out on May 2020.

Artistic development happens from within, not from repeating formulas of the past, but embracing and mixing life events, alongside different styles of music culture, and creating personal stories, outside of trends, that’s what keeps the music interesting.

On ‚Parallel Moves‘ Fluxion flows through various emotional states, and through blen- ding of styles and expanding the borders of them, he manages to create variety liste- ning to the album, something essential on an LP. But even with the variety the music bears the Fluxion sound aesthetic making it it an enjoyable listening experience, that requires more listens.

Mycelium is the name given to the set of hyphae of multicellular fungi such as mushrooms. These hyphae expand and connect underground creating a network with all plant species allowing communication between the beings of the habitat for their development. In Mycelium Network, Tha_Guts walks towards his ecosystem of origin, allowing our imagination to enter into a lonely dance in search of new possibilities of contact and connection networks that strengthen the dialogue between the inhabitants and their environment. In this organic/synthetic landscape, in search of oxygen and delirium, our body is surrounded by tender and spongy textures that pierce the pores of our skin, seeking the aesthetic mimesis which makes the work an integral part of the environment itself. In the exchange of narratives on the album, the artist invites us to dance in his own time, presenting an ambience in which sounds exist with the purpose of fulfilling a macrostructural function in the development of the whole. Manifesting that, to exist as a group and remain, we need to expand the current configuration to an adjacent communication model, in which each one aware of their existence can offer ideas and nutrients to the next. The universe is - and it’ll always be - unstable and volatile. In this tangible body that we wear as Now, we feel insecure in the face of the immateriality of time and the oscillation of atoms. Therefore, amidst the noise and delicate ambiences that guide the work, we walk lost among the clouds in a dream without a script and without an outcome. Walking aimlessly is sometimes necessary and pleasurable. If electronic music has always been aerial and liquid, Mycelium Network emerges from behind new limits with a certain anthropophagic controversy, remembering that dance is not the art of creating empty gestures.

PREMIERE : Tha_Guts - Error

Last fall, Dapayk & Padberg released "Smoke", their most sinister, most atmospheric and most peculiar album to date. Just in time for the upcoming summer season the Berlin-based electronica duo and notable artists from the Mo's Ferry label ask for the dance floor again playing their "Smoke Family Remixes".
Back and forth from the floor to the lounge to the floor: After having presented their fourth album in a darker and more reflective tone, singer Eva Padberg and musician / producer Niklas Worgt let the sun shine once again! Dapayk & Padberg asked their "family acts" to remix this album, which is a chamber-electro-mix full of dubstep structures, catchy pop elements, classical strings and intimate singer-songwriter elements. The result is "Smoke Family Remix", an airy, chilly, highly danceable club makeover for the upcoming summer season!
Experimental remixes and reworks belong to Dapayk's tradition. After the original versions have been tuned to achieving maximum club compatibility during their live performances, now the official remix collection follows. "I think the basic colour of our last album was a little bit too dark for many listeners. So we now present the remixes with a more accessible touch", says D&P Mastermind Niklas Worgt. On "Smoke Family Remixes" Dapayk & Padberg selected DJs and musicians from the small but fine Mo's Ferry label and asked for a reinterpretation of their last longplayer - with some surprising results.
Douglas Greed transformed the dreamy-supernatural "Dance In Your Flame" into a flowing, slightly rough, but also light ambient track. The dub / techhouse piece "Gingembre" got a treatment by Sebastian Russell with a new melody and new sampling elements. The orchestral "Silent Fireworks" wears in Marek Hemmann's remix a groovy club outfit. "We are extremely pleased to work with all these artists and to have them on our album", Niklas Worgt continues. "They all represent the signature sound of Mo's Ferry, which we intend to expand this year even further. A sound, somewhere between techhouse and rather more experimental stuff. It was very exciting for us to see how other artists interpret and modify our tracks. Eva and I were sometimes extremely surprised in what direction the originals were taken. There are ideas we would never have dreamt of. But that's the point eventually: To emphasize new and different facets. It's all about interaction with others, to be inspired and to collect new influences. It is simply an incredibly great thing to see how for example Darlyn Vlys made a true club hammer remix out of a melancholic original track like 'No Words'!"
So much is revealed: This autumn there will be a sequel to "Smoke - Remixes"!

Dapayk & Padberg - Some Air (Piotr Bejnar From Siberia Rmx)

Rafael Cohen aka Los Latidos was born in Mexico City to Guatemalan parents. He grew up in the DC punk scene, and released records on Dischord and Touch and Go. He has also played and recorded with jazz legend Anthony Braxton. 

Currently he tours the world and writes songs as a member of Warp Records mainstays !!! and has written and recorded a collection of more intimate songs in Spanish under the name Las Palabras.

This is his second release as Los Latidos and his first for Throne of Blood. His previous release, on Jun Records was described as “a feast of acid squelches, breakbeats and house kicks” by Resident Advisor. “Please Believe Me” is built on the same foundations but expands the palate somewhat with acoustic guitars and field recordings. 

The vibe is warm and hypnotic, recalling the breezy vibes of old school Throne of Blood artists Cosmic Kids. With three jams that range from low slung acid grooves to gently jacking house underpinned by a hands in the air bassline, Los Latidos has delivered a soundtrack to summer dusks and dawns.

Trivial Occupations' is the third LP released under the Kingdoms and Scissor and Thread founder’s own name - and continues in the traditions of those landmark records. Having scaled to heights within the club scene and released almost a hundred records under different monikers, Francis Harris embarked on an altogether more personal journey as a composer of intimate, atmospheric pieces removed from the dancefloor.

Here, with 'Trivial Occupations', Harris dives deep into a new sound pallette - bringing the listener on a journey through various states over the almost one hour run time. The album was made over the course of four years in various studios with an array of notable players, bringing a diversity of perspectives and approaches encompassed within Harris stunning artistic studio approach. It was also mixed at Jack White’s Third Man Studios again with the help of long time collaborator and friend, Bill Skibbe.

'At First A Wide Space' opens up the album, setting the tone with a vista of soundscapes, merging synths, live strings by Kingdom’s artist Emil Abramyan. It sets the stage for what is perhaps the album’s (first) opus, 'St Catherine And The Calm'. Spanning over 12 minutes, drifting through ambient textures, shuffling beats and beautifully arpeggiated melodies and found recordings, it gives the listener a widescreen intimacy, not unlike the enveloping sensation of a cinematic experience. 'Song For Aguirre' is a more mournful affair, built around Abramyan’s cello, Leah Lazonick's Piano, deep bass tones, pad washes and distant sounding horns from Greg Paulus, adding to the noir-ish 70’s soundtrack feel. 'Trivial Occupations' the album's title track and perhaps the centerpiece in terms of mood and tone, is a dizzying off kilter Jazz trip featuring a cast of remarkable jazz players, including vocalist Genevieve Marentette, Robb Reddy (tenor sax), Darkside member Dave Harrington on guitar and Will Shore (vibes).

Breaking up the album nicely, 'Dalloway', perhaps Harris’ most unique production to date, moves into Dancehall territory with a collaboration with Cameroon born but NY based singer, Kaïssa.

'Recital Of Facts' , one of the only beat driven songs on the LP, harkens back to the sound of Harris' last two albums with a melancholic groove paired with melodic bass fragments and the ever-present pad washes. 'Parklife' follows a similar vibe with the return of Greg Paulus’ mournful horns, but without any rhythmic underpinning, before the previous single 'Minor Forms' appears with its shuffling percussion and the singular sound of Will Shore’s Vibraphone, bringing about a climatic moment listening moment.

The final two tracks - 'Beaumont' and 'No Useless Leniency' both further explore the sense of space with which Harris has become so enamoured - creating textures and backdrops for piano by Leah Lazonick (Beaumont) and horns (Useless Leniency).

It’s an album that is easy to get lost in - a structure suggesting no real beginning or end. Listening to it on loop offers the listener a chance to be fully immersed in the rich, melancholic tonalities of Harris’ sound universe..
