Landing at episode 75 we have quickly rising behemoths within the underground Aus prog and tech flavoured house and trance scene, Primitive Needs. Providing us with a masterclass display of deeply dug tech house flavours, the talented duo offer a truely remarkable addition to the CommaCast Series.

The 'Primitive Needs' name is one that is quickly making an impact within the underground scene, with celebrated releases on labels such as Wex, Craigie Knowes, RAND Muzik and more. These lads are definitely worth getting know, with a distinctively techy production sound and a top of the craft ability to steadily develop mixes into patiently more driving states of exquisite drive and groove. We are more than hyper about this collab where Debbie infused some of Rigson's productions as inspiration for her sound.

Rigson will not dissapoint you in the 2nd hour with his high quality spacey and raw sound. 

Rigson is a producer and DJ from the UK, currently living in Amsterdam. He has released on a number of labels such as Union trance mission, Les Yeux Orange, Shoganai and Neptunediscs.

He plays a wide range of styles, but it's grounded in nostalgic 90s progressive house, early trance and nu-trance scene.

We are super grateful he took the time to create a mix for our online mixseries in collaboration with PIP radio.

DJ duo Primitive Needs take their name from a tongue in cheek nod to the low-tech/high-art club-centric productions of yesteryear, which the duo pay homage to in their releases and behind the decks. Having showcased their wealth of influences with releases on Craigie Knowes, R.A.N.D Muzik and Naarm’s own DMO, the pair present themselves as both genre-spanners and DJ tools; wrenching every last drop of 90s nostalgia from their moderately priced hardware.
