PiP’s work revolves around a simple message: tune into your environment and use your ears. His use of field recordings sheds a light on the sounds that surround us as he zooms in on the musical properties they carry. It’s about harvesting a sonic world and harnessing its energy.

With this 3 track PiP is marking his recorded solo debut and the first release on his label. In an attempt to make the process of releasing music organic and to keep creative control over different stages, ZitStill came to life. PiP – or Pepijn Gyssels – dusted off a bunch of melancholic songs that were stuffed away on a digital shelf.

PiP: “Giving less time to doubts can work miracles in a creative workflow. It forces you to make intuitive decisions. It’s about time these songs found their way out. What good is a sound, if nobody is listening?”
