Bost&Bim is a duo of producers, Grammy winner for Morgan Heritage’s « Strictly Roots » album in 2016 and producer of Chronixx's « Skankin Sweet ». Victor Axelrod Aka Ticklah is a member of Easy Star All Star and is a co-founded member of Antibalas & of The Dap Kings (Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse). This single in common, taken from upcoming Bost’s instrumental album « Warrior Brass » is a deep roots reggae in a Marley’s style, built by Bost & Bim and ethereally riden by Ticklah’s vintage organ.

Here's an old one I came across, something I did almost 15 years ago, one of my favorite songs and favorite Sly and Robbie dubs... Straightened it out and added percussion, kicks and saxophone, was something I played extensively and it even ended up out on wax on the Dub Fu label out of Montreal... Love this chune...

The Album is an evocation to Jamaica’s 1970’s Dub era as The Master Of Dub Mix Hopeton “Scientist” Overton Brown In true essence and respect for the culture uses an Analog console to manipulate the riddims; while transforming the words sound of the “Lyrical Machine” into musical mysticism that transcends the norm. The Scientist recreates a phenomenal balance of Old School meets New perpetuating a Sound System enthusiast dream isolating instrumentals while unleashing a thunderous bass effect. The Album also boasts a distinctively different mixed of “Wah Dada Deng Boom” by Paolo Baldini of Dubfiles. Atlanta producer Piper Street Sound has created his most accessible and organic offering to date. These songs grow from the traditions of Dub Reggae but gently expand in new directions; with under-spoken and up-punching poetry from street photographer John Arthur Brown, a gracefully slinking Melodica instrumental by Augustus Pablo’s son Addis, and a refreshing Marimba de Chonta version by Jhon ‘Pitufo’ Cortes of Colombia’s Afro-Pacifíco and Reggae welding Plu Con Pla. An all-star cast of Atlanta and Athens musicians, with a full horn section, are the musical foundation on which Piper Street Sound constructs and demolishes soundscapes of ever-shifting echoes and sprawling-while-decaying tone shadows.

The album is the first new installment in the acclaimed Inspiration Information studio collaboration series in over two years, with a superb new soundclash featuring sweet-voiced Jamaican legend Cornell Campbell and the excellent London-based reggae and Afro-dub collective, Soothsayers, led by Robin Hopcraft and Idris Rahman.

Cornell Campbell meets Soothsayers - "With You My Heart Belongs"

Matt Mansfield is a musician, producer, and sound engineer with a focus on Dub Reggae. He maintains a studio in Clarkston, Georgia, on the outskirts of Atlanta, where he uses the techniques of Dub and electronic production to explore global soundscapes. He instigates musical interactions under the name Piper Street Sound. With over twenty years of recording, performing, and touring as bassist and live dub engineer, as well as years working in record label management with the pioneering ZZK Records, Mansfield has dug deeply through the emerging sounds of our planet. In this process of delving he has evolved into a creature of instinctive musical creation.
