Two aspects of Maison Fauna’s world collide on this one, as Bristol’s K-65 energetically remixes Durham-based Chainletter’s “Lyric St.” Originally a techno exploration, K-65’s take is an urgent, pressing electro banger, complete with unexpected timbral rides, whirling sound effects, and teasing builds fit for any dance-floor. As a prolific producer delving into a wide variety of genres, including breaks, drum and bass, and electro, K-65 has begun to make waves as an eclectic, well-rounded producer in the UK underground. With prior releases on Top Drawer Digital, Slippery Sounds, CORE ltd., Belters mag, Seagrave, Taipan Trax, Maison Fauna, and Over and Out, K-65’s accolades are skyrocketing almost as quickly as his discography. For Dyslecta's debut on vinyl, and follow up to his contribution to Out of Sorts' inaugural VA, he serves up four slabs of rugged, UK techno, with influences from the early swamp sound, 2000s hard groove and classic tech house. The influences of the early 2000's early tech house scene are clear in Left on Para, a tasteful hypnotic roller which combines dubbed out vocals with a lurching bassline. Axefield's music is inspired by hollow halls and large brutalist buildings that make us feel so small. Transpersonal World guides your meditation making you feel like you’re standing in the hall of a massive industrial cathedral. Ancient Memories evokes exactly that as images from the past run through your veins. Do we feel a certain way? The synth patterns resemble steel pipes whereas the bassline sounds like large concrete slabs swiping you off your feet.

Wanderings through Armenia brought us DJ and producer Dave N.A. The 4 tracks on his ‘Altura EP’ hover between jungle and deconstructed club. They are made up of unassuming, sharply cut breaks with a gently nostalgic feel. 

The Yerevan-based artist evokes a frantic, supple & glitchy attitude reminiscent of early jungle influences, and drenches it in a lush sound palette full of vivid sound effects.

For the occasion, 'Pulse' and 'Novox' were co-produced with no•id's own freq444. The DJ’s join forces around a sultry groove: it goes down smooth as cocoa on a freezing winter’s day.
