2023 and 2024 saw Softi aka @jazz_brown popping up everywhere - and well deserved. The quickly emerging London based dj & producer has a knack for bubbling, dubby, smooth & hypnotic groove. As the name suggests, always presented in a soft but effective manner.

A mix reminiscent of the change of seasons, icy breaks shrouded in warm dubs.. moody sounds & summer nostalgia waft through this easy-flowing, chuggy, cosy mix from the @cozi-716789961 boss herself.

Ciel was gracious with her eight hours on the beach, offering an extended trip through house and techno’s touchpoints before dropping it down and bringing the whole festival together for a downtempo singalong. In truth, we’ve come to expect this fidelity and care from Cindy. Memories of old Geary Ave, 500 Keele, the grotto, and community radio rebound through these blends, solidifying her place as one of the Toronto underground’s biggest exports of the past half decade-plus. Don’t have many rules in life but one of them is that whenever a new mix by Pjenne comes out, to stop what I’m doing immediately and put it on. And probably am not alone here. 

Like many people, Pjenne’s mixes have been go-to’s, essential and always-classy additions to a landscape of noise and clutter. 

Like your favourite mix CD that never left the space•ship stereo. And no matter how many times you listen, it seems to get better and better with each play. They’re timeless, they’re crucial and the amount of care and love poured into each one is apparent as soon as you hear the first blend. 

Often compiled and cooked up over the course of a couple of years, they have the kind of craft and expertise that can only come from doing a weekly radio show for over 6 years, being a staple of her local Naarm scene and being an all-round legend. We’re pleased to report this mix is no different and has been on repeat since it arrived. 

Appreciate this is a bit of a gushy write up, but sometimes you’ve got to say it how it is, and anyone who’s a Pjenne Ultra will understand what a big day this is at space•lab HQ.
