Doctor Who FL Opening and Closing Orchestral (Samples mix)

I had to re-edit it, so I went back to the original file, remastering it from the ground up, as the mixing on the last version was a bit shoddy in places, and re-worked the whole thing. I think this should fit somewhat better, without any disjointed crossfades.

Theory in Action

I was messing around with some new drum synths in a Doctor Who piece and the theme that sprung up around it sounded like  something that could easily be the sister of Hardwire's "Time Tunnel" whomixes. Henceforth, here is Time Corridor.

This is a rebuild of the 1970 Doctor Who titles theme, which was used throughout all of Jon Pertwee's run and most of Tom Baker's.

Doctor Who "Opening Title Theme" (1970) Reconstruction

I was aiming for a more dreamy sounding version of the "diamond logo" opening theme, to play up on the more epherial and psychidelic elements at play in the titles sequence.

Once again, this was made entirely in GarageBand, minus samples from the original Derbyshire theme (provided to me by Simon Bowser, or "Radiophonic Workshop Fan" on here.)

I have to give special thanks to my roommate, who suggested having the arpeggiated spangles transition into the middle-eight. That's what really makes the piece work, in my opinion.

Originally done for a great Doctor Who fan opening sequence done by the incomparable Billy Hanshaw (motionworks_tv), it's high time this got released as full version. Thanks to (therealgeekmin) for asking + thus reminding me. :)
