The Inner World Of The Narration by The Unknown Psychologist

Thank you for finding the latest in the In Too Deep series.  I wanted to drop a set that summed up what we have nearly all felt we have missed in 2020.  The ability to start a night out with a few chill tunes just to get us in the mood, maybe a couple of ‘pre drinks’… the anticipation of the night ahead… and then the night itself.  Funky Chap and I wanted to create a set that carried you through the journey of a great night out from beginning to end to remind us all that it won’t be long until we are able to get out there again and share a great time with friends and fresh tunes to match.
For this set you will find Funky Chap spinning the first hour in typical fashion from him.. an eclectic style that I struggle to find anyone else managing with such a cool and well, funky approach.  I’d say it’s very unique, and that’s what I love about him.  As head honcho of one of the best and most established channels out there with Sunset Grooves, it was a great honour to have him aboard for this trip.

So I play the second hour, and I’m going back to my roots with a peak time clubby sound that I wanted you to close your eyes and imagine you are there amongst it all, with the wonderful people, the lights, the bass, hands in the air.. ah, how we miss it !
We really appreciate you joining us and hope you enjoy this set.

From Funky Chap..   I have been a fan of John’s edits and track selection from the moment I first heard him. Therefore the moment we got together to make this in too deep mix and being in charge of starting it off, I got inspired to choose tracks that would take the dance floor on a unique musical experience. Naturally, being the founder of @sunset-grooves my track selection always varies yet has that groove that will keep driving the mix. The idea is to get the listener all warmed up so that John can take over and exhaust the listeners to a frenzy. An absolute pleasure to do this collaboration with you and share good music with those who love it.

Somelee commands the decks on the latest Selectors in preparation for his debut on TOR. The Ukrainian artist is well known for a lovely melancholic & melodic production style, with recent gems on Radiant and Dawn till Dusk. We're eager to present his A-side ‘Luna’, which is coming out in just a couple days time. Born in Beirut/Lebanon. At the age of 14 he developed a passion towards music through listening to different genres. That passion pushed him into the nightlife scene where he used to sneak into electronic music events at an early age. Electronic music was his ultimate guide for the future plans as a career or even as an escape. He took his BA in AudioVisual, also studied electronic music production & Djing at one of the most recognized DJ school in Lebanon . Mainly inspired by the surrounding daily sounds, he’s always into collecting sounds & sampling to use them in his tracks, especially ambient sounds.

Ein untypisches Weihnachtsfest

Die Weihnachtszeit hat heute ihren Höhepunkt erreicht. Das Fest ist in diesem Jahr definitiv ganz anders, als es sonst so war. Der Kreis wird auf die engsten Familienmitglieder beschränkt und innerhalb der heimischen Vierwände, sich beschenkt. So manche Tradition wird diese Weihnachten gebrochen, so haben die Kirchen und Gebetshäuser kollektiv geschlossen. Vieles läuft an diesem Heiligabend ungewöhnlich ab, doch so manches bleibt auch altvertraut. Geschenke laden unterm Baum, und auf den Weihnachtsumtrunk verzichten die Meisten, wohl kaum. Es wird gut gegessen und viel gelacht, irgendwie wird aus eigenartig, dann doch passend gemacht. Man nennt Weihnachten nicht umsonst Zeit der Besinnlichkeit, also lasst uns dankbar sein für Familie, Freunde, Wohlstand und Gesundheit.

Der heutige Podcast ist eine Weihnachts-Spezialausgabe bereitgestellt und gemixt von Käpt‘n 12 & Düsentrieb. Damit Euch in den Feiertagen nicht der akustische Sprit ausgeht, läuft die 185 satte 4 Stunden und 12 Minuten lang. Ein roter Faden schlängelt sich unverkennbar von Track zu Track. This set is the product of passionate digging and careful track selection. As usual, I tend to make my podcasts very progressive and the fact that I was asked to make a 3h33min long podcast gave me a real pleasure to settle into various genres at different parts of the set. Starting at 94 bpm and ending at 127, I added a lot of new music, a few of my all-time favourites and some of my own productions. This work was meant to reflect all of my different musical influences and pay tribute to all the talented artists that despite the current situation carried on pursuing their passion. Special thanks to the Flow Sessions crew for giving me the opportunity to present my universe and congratulations to them for what they've accomplished so far. Take care ! Margee (@margeemusic)

Bio: Margee is a musical project brought by Alexandre Gimard, a 26-year old French producer based in Amsterdam. His music has resonated throughout musical scenes around the world, performing in festivals like AfrikaBurn, Wonderfruit, WeCanDance and the Monastery Festival to name a few. He received his first musical education at the age of 8, studying at the classical academy of Monaco, playing drums and the guitar. Later in his life, he pursued the practice of guitar and bass guitar and performed in different funk/rock bands. When moving to Holland in 2013, Alex broadened his musical interests and started his way through electronic music. Margee’s sound can be recognised by his groovy baselines, floating pads and swingy rhythms. Being mainly based in France, the Netherlands and Thailand, he gets his musical inspiration from various genres and cultures, preferably new, undiscovered and golden all-timers.

Born and raised in the sloping green landscapes of Woodside, CA and currently making his way in the bustling concrete sprawl that is Brooklyn, NY, Billy has always drawn inspiration from the dichotomies that present in life. As a result, his music never sits in one place, constantly drifting between whimsy and gravity; always thoughtful. He loves the challenge of taking his variable musical interests and genre bending them into tidy packets of sound that challenge the listener to think actively for an hour or two. His mixes are an intuitive display of what he has been feeling and always come from the heart. Who knows what types of sounds and feelings will be on display months, years from now.. I guess the point is no one can know, and that's ok with him.
