This is something I did for Håkan's recent open collab. I have been experimenting with mixing in surround/binaural/etc, and his music is perfect for that, so I jumped on it. As far as me, I handled bass guitar, guitar and "production". Headphones (any old pair, this is stereo) are very highly recommended to get the full effect. Thanks, Håkan. The dry spell continues.
Sand blows in the wind, dirtying my shoes.
The dry back of a lizard.
Withered blades of grass.
When will it rain?

I lick salt.
The sun howls.
A clock melts.
A flag hangs heavy.
Bees are chasing me.
I shoot them with betel nut bullets.
The dry spell continues. 
A tiger melts and flows over large stones.

Dark shadows of branches of a Canarium album.
A flute sounds. The world boilds. 
Tongues of fire poke out from a stove.

August 2025 Currently on residency in Italy !
All sounds here (melody, texture, harmony, percussive sounds etc) are made from a field recording of the dogs in the valley below my balcony... well except for my whistle : ) 
They have been my sonic companions
Residency is coming to end, its been a month of complete experimentation with more than 20 little sketches done, all using field recordings captured around Montegiovi, Tuscany. With these little works I am experimenting freely with what can be produced from each days sounds - manipulating them and stitching them back together with the aim of producing a long format work at the end of the residency. The idea is to have them done by the end of the day (or night) then move on to something fresh the next day.
I am truly thankful for this opportunity that has been provided for me by the Salamanca Arts Centre in Tasmania and Cultivate Projects/La Baldi residency in Italy and The USA.
And of course the wonderful people of Montegiovi !
