Delighted to premiere a track from one of our favourite labels to emerge from the last few years: ec2a. Headed by Dr Duplate, the label has been. behind some of the best contemporary UK garage records, and the latest comes from Russian producer FTRRLT as he joins the labels OPM vinyl series with five bubbling cuts of 2-step.

We've copped the remix from OG Swamp81 don Benton - a wicked blend of breaks, bass and screw-face energy. Play this one loud.

Fresh off the back of a debut Boiler Room performance at the world renowned AVA Festival, releases on Extended Play, Nocturne & Rudimentary Records and captivating live set performances at Celtronic, Derry’s very own Cartin delivers a two track EP spanning lairy UK electro-breaks and glitch-driven techno that shines a deserved spotlight on exactly why the emerald isle is so excited about him.

Today we premiere ‘Endz’ - an in-your-face bass heavy banger that blends grimey vocal samples and gun-finger energy  in a mutation of electro, breakbeat, grime and punk - a wonderful example of Cartin’s ability to seamlessly blend genre, yet remain so distinctive.

It's no secret that we're massive Rory Sweeney fans. The producer has carved out a distinct lane for himself within a sea of the same, consistently bringing something new, fun and innovative to the table.

ULTRAPOLLEN has come through with a wicked remix of Rory & Kayleigh Noble's 'Needy' and it blends two of our favourite things - the best parts of the Sweeney-verse and a cloudcore, dreamy percussive aesthetic. The result is a tears-in-the-club bass banger that will have you crying front-left.

The Dublin based avant-garde electroniq party, backed by Mark Davis (darkmavis), enters the label world with a collection of dreamy club efforts from some of the most gifted producers coming out of Ireland and afar.

Our featured premiere comes from the Dublin based Small Bear who delights with basement anthem 'Foamy Nites'. Propelling off a tightly locked 90s inspired breakbeat before merging with bass walls and alarming energies, it's a track that maintains its aggressive prowess throughout standing as an ideal dark room number.

Ethereal Skies are a Dublin based party and platform dedicated to avant-garde electronic music founded by Mark Davis aka darkmavis and Sean Murray debuting our first label release with Aerga Vol 01.

Aerga, aka "the air or the ether" (as Gaeilge) comes in the form of a jam packed VA compilation featuring twenty one up and coming and also established artists from the emerald isle and afar presenting avant-garde and genre bending club music which knows no bounds.

A project planned and developed to traverse the soundscape of alternative club sounds through local Irish artists and friends, the vision of what our Ethereal Skies platform seeks to present to the world musically comes to life. Aerga is a sonic journey that defies genre boundaries, contrasts the new skool with the oldskool and presents the dysfunctional possibilities of electronic music.

Aerga is a spectrum of sounds from ambient dreamscapes, to avant-trance, to breakcore, to experimental pop, to donk, to gabber, to neo-grime, to prog, hard groove and more.

Today we premiere 'Circuit Forrest' from frequent Plain Sailing guest and one of our favourite Irish producers Rory Sweeney, who whips up a frenzy with a mixture of insane drum design and clever vocal snippets - cushioned by an otherworldly backdrop.

The latest VA from Holly Lester's Duality Trax imprint focuses on six emerging and established artists that are all making their mark within their respective cities and beyond, with 100 percent of profits going to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

Belfast producer Body Clinic rounds off the VA, fusing DnB and prog in ‘159 Revolutions Per Minute.' Here, the young artist perfectly demonstrates the interwoven themes and concepts that the label seeks to platform.

Dublin based avant-garde electronic music party and platform come through with a killer VA spanning the genre-defying, experimental and futuristic. 

Headed by Irish DJ and producer darkmavis; the boundless possibilities of electronic music are what make up the Aerga projects. Your listening experienced is enriched with everything from dreamy ambient, to pulsating hardcore, heavy bass and hard-drum, hyper maximalist takes on jungle, pure experimentalism and of course euphoric progressive and hard cuts of trance.

'Use Me' by Dublin and Give Us The Night mainstay R.Kitt is a cut of tranced-out, dreamy club designed for those 5am moments when the sun starts to make it's way through the warehouse windows and hangs in the air.

To date the platform has hosted some incredible artists such as Evian Christ, TDJ, Snow Strippers, Taahliah, Varg2tm, Amor Satyr, Rory Sweeney and Dark0. Quite a forward thinking roster, and one we can certainly get behind. Support grass roots and independent labels. That's where the most interesting stuff is happening.
