While Saskia‘s musical skills developed during early childhood piano lessons, Alex made first contact with electronic music with his “Minimal Lounge“ solo project. Releasing on labels such as Katermukke, Sol Selectas, 3000Grad and Connaisseur Recordings it is their own imprint Underyourskin Records that has been causing a buzz lately and on which Just Emma releases their dark and melodic interpretation of electronic music. This recording of my most recent gig at MaHalla reflects the shift in musical style that I went through during the past months. I am noticing that I can authentically find myself more & more in the spheres of deep, tribal & somewhat mystical sounds of progressive down- and midtempo music. This sonic journey is infused with shamanic and later on psychedelic influences before rounding the journey up with some cloudy, dreamy tracks to generate a smooth transition back into reality.
