Absentune. That's a name we heard for the first time when we started getting into downtempo music a while back. Having the pleasure to meet, hang out, and share the stage with him has been incredible and lots of fun. We are very happy to present a deep and thought-provoking mix for Ancestral Origins, Vol. 4 by Absentune.

Absentune released his first tracks in the year 2015.
Since then, he has been in constant motion releasing music through various labels in different parts of the world. (Akasha MX, Conexa, Discos Tabú, Krooks, MS Records, Plurpura, Shango, Tonal, and VAA to name a few).
We can describe his work as an experimental journey through different genres and styles which offer a sound alternative that oscillates around downtempo, organic house and world music.

Cycling through the omnidirectional winds of Copenhagen, he realized how music can give you the strength to physically bike through a storm, but can also help you getting into a different place of mind, away from the storm itself. It allows you to dream yourself away, have a break and gather the energy, inspiration and courage to face whatever will come. It does not bring you anywhere or somewhere, but simply „anotherwhere“, a parallel world where things can be better. Karakoram Highway is an imaginary musical caravan traveling to the boundaries of central Asia, also dubbed the 'eighth wonder of the world', it is one of the most famous roads connecting China to Pakistan, an old Silk Road. 

This is a 1h45h set mixing electronic & world music. Deep musical immersion, when four continents meet electronic music. Musical journey mixing electronic, ethnic sounds, vocals, organic instruments, melodic vocals as well as spiritual chanting.

I had the chance once to explore this region of the world, the Karakoram Highway starts from Havelian and winds through many beautiful spots such as Mansehra, Thakot, Abbottabad, Besham, Pattan, Sazin, Chils, Gilgit Baltistan and Hunza, connecting China's Xinjiang region with Pakistan's Gilgit–Baltistan region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at an altitude of 4,693 m/15,397 ft.
