»sleepstep« is the first collaboration between raster-noton and dasha rush. the record‘s subtitle »sonar poems for my sleepless friends« describes its underlying concept – »sleepstep« is a trip through electronically alienated microcompositions and sound collages that, interwoven with text passages, aim at creating a dream-like atmosphere.

the stations of this journey are striving for oblivion of time, an immersion, a drifting in universal states – death, life, birth, grief, desire. the titles often appear to be raw sketches, fugitive, surreal short stories that rather want to break open than execute.

the musical arrangement, in this context, can be described as rather subtle and fragile. though electronically manipulated, no production technique is pushing itself to the fore. and though clichés are not dreaded, »sleepstep«, as a result, stays away from being cliché. the sonar poems for her sleepless friends are feminine, subtle and personal reports. a musical dream journey in the form of a classical concept record – an album that also stands in the tradition of ambient music.

dasha rush is already known as a techno dj and producer. here on »sleepstep«, she celebrates her alter ego. the cd version comes with a 32-pages booklet that also shows her photographic interest and includes the aforementioned poems written by her. furthermore there is 2 x 12" vinyl version.

Linked to the respected Italian online publication, Tech Clubbers launches TC Records with a huge VA of established artists, event residents, and upcoming talent.

'Escape Route Vol. 1' is a 13-track compilation of varying analogue styles that welcomes artists from countries including Germany, Hungary, Italy, Ukraine, Ireland, and Spain.

Collectively the artists included have released on quality labels such as Kr!z's Token, Bas Mooy's Mord, Marco Bailey's MATERIA, Jonas Kopp's TREMSIX, Nastia's NECHTO, Florian Meindl's FLASH, Truncate Records, Heiko Laux's Kanzleramt, A.Paul's Naked Lunch, Joton's Newrhythmic, Jay Clarke's Blackaxon, Fiedel's Fiedeltwo, Philippe Petit's Knotweed, Insolate's Out of Place, BCCO, OECUS, Diffuse Reality, and many more.

The Southern is a much-loved production force also from Italy, and lists music on Chris Liebing's CLR, Truncate Records, Dense & Pika's Kneaded Pains, and Luigi Madonna's Contempo, amongst others.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Setthe Jack" with a ripping, uptempo jam. The raw, looping vocal, gritty drums and crunching percussion are pierced by synth stabs, and atmospheric bleeps to hit peaks of ultimate tension and crescendo in this absolute rocket.

Berlin-based techno label REBELSKIN has released tracks by Fresko, Ricardo Garduno, and Joey Beltram and the fifth release sees bossman DAST step out to the forefront.

Born in Italy and currently living in Berlin, DAST has a vast production history that includes releases on major labels like Fixon and Dig-it's ANAØH, Pan-Pot's Second State, Ricardo Garduno's Illegal Alien, Coyu's Suara, On Edge Society, and Unrilis, to mention a few.

Conrad Van Orton is a renowned producer from Rome who has contributed to a number of well-known imprints including Developer's Modularz, Slam's Soma, Inland's Counterchange, Remco Beekwilder's EMERALD, and Oscar Mulero's PoleGroup.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his remix of "Power Thing" where his rendition transforms the oiginal into a smooth, gliding take with deep chords, synth stabs, fluttering percussion, and the perfect mix of dreamy, driving tension.

Neblina Records proudly presents its third release and second EP, For Everybody and Nobody, by Nicolas Vogler — an artist recognized for his work on acclaimed labels such as Mutual Rytm, Planet Rhythm, Suara, Frenzy, and Reclaim Your City.
