All This Noise

i wrote this song at the height summer 2018 during a new sense of self professed freedom, but it actually reflects upon a time when i would say 'no' often and let opportunities pass by. the narraration follows a mental tug of war between embracing vulnerability and standing back in the crowd.

Divino Niño - Coca Cola

Plastic Waves is the moniker of NYC based musician Andre Bellido, a South Florida native born to Latin American immigrants. His family instilled in him a deep love of music, with his father playing Peruvian música criolla with friends at family gatherings, as well as putting on disco, soul, and 60s & 70s pop records. His grandmother, a French native, introduced him to chanson classics and put him in an after-school music program for guitar at a young age. After playing in bands throughout high school and early college, Plastic Waves finally began in 2014 as a solo project focusing on psychedelic production, incorporating anything from pop melodies to dense, dreamy sounds and noisy textures. From a psych pop start, early influences have begun to make their way into the music, like disco and 80s synth pop. The project is intended to be a personal expression, as well as a limitless exploration of any musical genre or visual style of interest with each new release. Plastic Waves has played SXSW, Northside Festival, and has been a Converse Rubber Tracks Recording Artist, as well as having been featured on multiple playlists such as Spotify’s official Modern Psychedelia playlist, Domino’s Sound System playlist, and David Dean Burkhart’s Compact Cassette among others.
