The German, Cologne based, Tangram has been DJing and making music for over 15 years.
As a producer with appearances on Svreca’s Semantica Records and his own imprints Purify Records and TSP he showcases his unique ability to create immersive and hypnotic sound trips tailored for dancefloor usage and home listening pleasure alike. 
In his DJ sets he prefers to jump between hypnotic soundscapes and hard-hitting techno sound with a distinct vision of the trip.

With the autumn season looming we have another prolific artist with us this week. AHIL, Arthur van de Hil, is an artist based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He uses mostly deep and hypnotic patterns, powered by rolling and heavy kicks. His love for the genre was established after visiting an event in 2014 in his hometown.

Regarding this set, he was mainly inspired by his second visit to the @monument-podcast festival last summer. The sounds present there were mostly organic, hypnotic and rhythmic and of great value for the aforementioned artist. With the usage of 3 decks, AHIL states he is able to amplify the intensity with his layering. This mix is more than suitable for any dancefloor, a place where AHIL likes to spend time and gain inspiration from.

We are happy to feature this rising artist from our homeland and be sure to enjoy his selection.

There is so much we think we're in control of, and then there is the vast nothingness like a ship caught in the middle of a violent storm; we are but a speckle seen in time.
It's what we do that matters and how we do it. So do good on this fragile journey and do your best to navigate the in-between frequencies of time.

For this week, Cellar Door invites https://soundcloud.com/gianlucameloni-laertes who brings heaps of uncompromising metallic  tribal sounds and heavy beats. Acid and hardgroove influenced journey that, as the artist himself suggests, mirrors the crazy times we have recently found ourselves in. 


ARTISTS BIO: 
Gianluca Meloni, born in Rome , made his musical path trough different styles; has been studying Piano at “Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Roma” and played in various underground bands; his big passion about music starts back when he after being listening to Tangerine Dreams first album decides to buy his first synth: a Korg MS-10.
He was a pioneer in the 90′s and was able to insert electronic seeds into an underground scene mainly ruled by Gianluca Meloni A.K.A. LAERTES
progressive rock; his most important contribution in that period was to the album “Strani Sogni” of the band SIG V, CNI Music -Italy.
His debut single “Perchè Non Parli” was a huge successs in Italy and was much more than often played in italians radio’s shows;

Not that later he mets up with Dino Sabatini, still “just” a guitarist, after a studio session and a very solid friendship, based on their common passion for music, starts to grow between them; that amazing duo soon became the “Modern Heads” project, leading both of them to play in some of the most prestigious clubs around the globe as Panorama Bar in Berlin, Brancaleone in Rome and Macumba, Madrid, AIR Tokyo, FUSE in Bruxelles, just to list few.
Some years later Gianluca together with Carlo Alfano became the founder of the project “notfromearth“, expanding his artistic view into a very well crafted new Audio & Video concept, revealing soon his high level of professionally and experience; his first e.p. on Prologue label, “Origin e.p.”, is indeed a big proof of that !.
In 2016 Start new Solo project LAERTES his new solo project, Laertes, inspired by the research of electronic music through the modular synthesis and passion for live improvisation, in which reason in his live set will always find vintage analog instruments, and modern technology.
