Our fragment series continues. This month's story is told by Kontinum.

Jonas started his journey in deep techno around 2015. Strongly influenced by the sound of the - Institut fuer Zukunft - he fell and still is in love with this style of techno. 

Originally from Lübeck, near the baltic sea in northern Germany, he quickly paved his way into the Leipzig and European scene.

‘’ My approach to making music and curate sets is 100% based on mood and emotions. When producing I basically fiddle some knobs until the vibe and flow of the track suits my current state of mind. For sets and podcasts, I always try to find a theme and dig through my bookmark folders to find tracks that fit in that theme. For your label, I had the idea of a good vibe open-air/festival set to start the summer and I think the plan worked pretty good ‘’

In the vast expanse of the universe, beyond the reaches of our known reality, lies a realm of infinite layers, each harbouring its secrets and mysteries. The rhythmic pulse of Dub Techno finds its resonance within this intricate web of cosmic dimensions.
At the heart of this sub-universe is a clandestine gathering known as the Assembly of Frequencies. The Assembly comprises beings from diverse corners of the cosmos, united by their shared affinity for the ethereal realm of sound. They convene within an interdimensional chamber, concealed within the fabric of space-time, to explore the harmonic tapestry that connects the layers of existence.
Each layer of the sub-universe is a universe in itself, woven together by celestial threads of energy and vibration. The Assembly of Frequencies seeks to decipher this interplay, unlocking the underlying harmony reverberating through the cosmic corridors. Their ultimate quest is to unveil the primordial composition that binds all layers together—a symphony of existence.
Within the Assembly, a luminary named Synchrona emerges as a critical figure, possessing an innate ability to discern the rhythmic patterns within the fabric of the sub-universe. With their transcendent perception, Synchrona serves as a bridge between the layers, traversing the borders of reality with grace and precision. They delve deep into the subtleties of Dub Techno, decoding the frequencies that resonate within the spaces between dimensions.
As Synchrona's understanding deepens, they realize that Dub Techno mirrors the intricate architecture of the sub-universe. Its pulsating beats mimic the vibrations of celestial bodies, while the ethereal echoes and reverberations embody the intangible connections that bind the layers together. Through this sonic exploration, Synchrona uncovers the cosmic essence that underlies the genre, revealing its close link to the sub-universe.
As the Assembly of Frequencies continues to unravel the mysteries of the sub-universe, their insights reshape the understanding of Dub Techno, infusing it with a newfound spiritual depth. DJs and producers across the galaxy embrace this revelation, blending the celestial harmonies with earthly rhythms, creating transcendent soundscapes that echo through the multiverse.
In the end, the Assembly's journey transcends mere exploration. It becomes a voyage of unity, where the layers of the sub-universe converge in a symphony of boundless vibrations. Dub Techno becomes the cosmic conduit through which the interconnectedness of all things is revealed—a sonic manifestation of the sub-universe's grand design.
Thus, the sub-universe and the pulsating beats of Dub Techno intertwine, painting a mesmerizing portrait of the infinite layers that lie beyond our perception. It beckons us to listen closely, tune into the harmonies that echo through the cosmos, and explore the interconnected fabric of existence.

Nico grew up in a small coastal town in Galicia in the late 80s. In 2008, he started to involve himself with deeper shades of electronic music and their profound sentimental atmospheres. His interest became an obsession, and within two years he began to play in clubs across the Spanish northwest.

According to the artist, he was influenced by a golden generation of local DJs who helped define and shape his sound in terms of dance music, along with a rounded love of legendary bands and artists from across the musical spectrum. His musical philosophy is that everyone has something to bring, so there is always something to learn.

In 2015, Nico moved to Barcelona, expanding his horizons both artistically and personally. He’s currently one of the residents of the renowned Nitsa Club, and together with the duo Binomi, is responsible for HIRU, a multi-venue party across the city designed as an ode to club culture.

Nico prefers not to pigeonhole himself into any particular style, but his sets are nothing short of hypnotic. When he plays, he looks for that peculiar sensory union with the dance floor that connects them without words, seeking to lead the night in the same direction together.

Ronny Pinazza tries to convey the feeling of the infinite timelessness of the soul of nature with music in an understandable language. His DJ sets are always driving, ritualistic.
Natural sounds and hypnotic melodies allow the listener to reach another state of consciousness.

This is how he describes his vision: "when time and space lose their meaning, when everyone is connected in unison to the music, united in one energy bubble, then the perfect state is reached. No thought separates us from the great unit. Only knowledge and joy move us to the beat“.

His productions are experimental, unorthodox.
Hypnotic rhythms and driving beats characterize his tracks, always filled with natural sounds.

The listener is transported in a space that seems to exist between the stars.
Deep in his heart he believes in infinity and that time and space are only imaginations.
His goal is to express these inner feelings with music, so in 2021 he set out to develop his musical language.

Ronny Pinazza has released 2 EPs on Cellar Door records, has collaborated on VAs on Indefinite Pitch, Free Palestine, Linee Sonore, and EPs on Division Group Records.
