Unhuman is the Berlin-based electronic and experimental project of Manos Simotas. 

Started in 2012 in Athens with his first release "Emperor Black"on tape, Unhuman evolved through different genres ultimately finding his own unique voice in experimental and dark electronics. Keeping his root in post-punk, Unhuman released on labels such as Instruments Of Discipline, Veleno Viola, BITE, Amok Tapes and Strange Therapy. 

A regular mainstay of major clubs in Berlin, Unhuman has performed all around Europe, Asia and South America and holds the artist in residency at Constant Value in Seoul, South Korea.

Unhuman is also the founder of Liber Null Berlin, which has played a critical role of unifying the freedom of arts in a conceptual event in the scene and also operates as a record label. Expanding beyond Berlin, Liber Null held events with performance arts and music all around the world including Athens, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and beyond.

Swarm Intelligence has built up a name for habitually reducing darkened Berlin basements to ruins. Blending ambient, rhythmic noise and industrial sounds with half-step technoid rhythms and pounding 4/4 grooves, he has captured the attention of both techno and noise fiends alike.
From bass-heavy electro right through to fast, distorted breaks, Swarm Intelligence has honed his sound over 4 EPs released on Invisible Agent, Stasis, Acroplane and most recently Acre. His latest album ëBlack Iron Prisoní, also out on Acre, is a fearsome mix of clattering beats, snarling, abrasive distortion and dissonant textures. 

This set at Krake Festival 2014 was the testing ground for some of his latest, unsigned tracks,  crafted from field recordings, self-made Max devices, guitar pedals and some analog gear.

Unhuman is the Berlin-based electronic experimental project of DJ, producer, and sound engineer, Manos Simotas, the founder of Liber Null imprint and event series. As a KHIDI resident, Unhuman has been an influential figure in the electronic music scene since 2012, with notable releases on labels such as Instruments Of Discipline, Veleno Viola, Amok Tapes, and more. He is also a member of BITE Records

OOrt is the project of Tbilisi-based Tamar Axander, a prominent figure in the electronic music scene of Tbilisi. Her music gravitates heavily towards industrial-oriented techno saturated with 80's era New-Wave/Post-Punk elements

KHIDI Podcast 154: Unhuman B2B OOrt

We are very pleased to welcome Second Tension as our 36th guest on the Kaos London podcast series with a live mix of new music created for the Kaos London showcase at Astron Club, Athens in July 2024.

Second Tension is a project by Stavros Tilkeridis, a Greek artist and DJ. Stavros started creating music back in the early nineties, with next to no access to the outside world. He started with tape loops, not too dissimilar to those by Pierre Schaffer, and got his hands on his first sampler, Mpc 2000xl, by the late nineties. Stavros was introduced to rave culture in the early two-thousands and experimented his way through them, using his music to search for a deeper, hidden meaning. He started Second Tension in 2016 as an attempt to capture a progressive spirit in electronic music, combining primitive and industrial aesthetics. With 3 EPs and an LP  on Persephonic Sirens, and several  released on OSM Tapes, and Monolith.
