"Intensely melodic electronic music" is a pretty spot on description of Chilean producer Ricardo Tobar's output. His creations suck you in and make you listen, leaving you feeling equal parts entranced and sharpened.

With around 15 years of producing under his belt, it's no surprise he's perfected these cinematic and melodic qualities in his music, which have been shared with the world via imprints like Border Community, Correspondant, ESP Institute and more recently on Amsterdam's MUSAR, which also marks the home of his next EP coming complete with a remix from the inimitable S.O.N.S.

Channeling similar sonic characteristics in his DJ sets, he leads the charge for this week's Wednesday Alternative mix, treating us to a mix of rich melodic electronics.

Dancers can always be sure of one thing with Moscoman, a certain unpredictability and energy will always define the music he serves up. As well as having a background in indie and rock, he plays house, techno and dark disco, all from a more alternative angle. For that reason he is a regular at wide-ranging but iconic places like Space in Miami, Panorama Bar and Pacha Ibiza. 
In the studio he has always switched up from one release to the next: raw and rugged machine disco, melodic techno and wonky house on Life & Death, Diynamic and I'm A Cliché all feature in his discography.
Next to all this, Moscoman continues to focus on building his Disco Halal label and brand into a real family. It is a place where artists like Simple Symmetry, Red Axes, Trikk and Auntie Flo have all freely expressed themselves. Like Moscoman's own approach to music.
