Actualmente confoma el dúo de Latin house "Romance Layers" junto a Mystery Friend y organiza la fiesta y ciclo de podcasts "Fusion Dance". Sus sets se caracterizan por la confluencia de sonidos inspirados en Chicago, Detroit y UK de los 80's y 90's. Vocales femeninas, dubs, bajos profundos, lineas de acido hipnoticas: la crudeza de las máquinas emerge de la fascinación robótica y propulsa el movimiento en la pista. Como DJ ha tocado en diversos clubes y festivales tanto en Buenos Aires como en Mar del Plata, Cordoba, Lima y Madrid, y en nuestra fiesta varias veces. For the 53rd. entry in the Fun Fun Mix series, we present Gala, dj and music producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is currently part of the Latin house duo "Romance Layers" with Mystery Friend and she organizes the "Fusion Dance" party and podcast series. Her sets are characterized by the confluence of sounds inspired by Chicago, Detroit and the UK of the 80's and 90's. Female vocals, dubs, deep bass lines, hypnotic acid lines: the rawness of the machines emerges from robotic fascination and propels movement on the dancefloor. As a DJ she has played in various clubs and festivals in Buenos Aires as well as in Mar del Plata, Córdoba, Lima and Madrid. Der Mix ist etwas eklektischer von den Tempi und vermutlich schon spürbar dunkler und zackiger, als meine letzten Mixe. In Gedanken war ich beim Aufnehmen irgendwie schon viel bei euch auf Trakt 1 und 3 unterwegs, geplant war das allerdings nicht…
 
The mix varies a little more with the speeds and I guess it also got a bit darker and uptempo than my previous recordings. Apparently while recording the mix I’ve been more present at floor 1 and 3 in the IFZ, somehow this got out of my control.
 
// Wie würdest du deine Verbindung zu Leipzig & zum IfZ beschreiben? 
// How would you describe your connection to Leipzig and IfZ ? 

Als eine sehr enge. In Leipzig habe ich lange gelebt und dort u.a. auch mit dem Auflegen angefangen. Generell hat mich die Stadt in meinem Zugang zu elektronischer Musik und Clubkultur deutlich geprägt. Das IFZ ist da auf jeden fall mehr als beispielhaft, jedoch nicht nur als Club-Institution - ich denke da auch an die früheren IFZ-Zeiten, als der ursprüngliche Kern damals illegale Open Airs und Partys in alten Fabriken und anderen abwegigen Orten organisiert hatte. 
 
As a very close one. I lived in Leipzig for quite some time and also started DJing there. In general the city had a very essential imprint on my approach to electronic music and club culture. The IFZ played a big role for me too, however not just as an institution as a club - I’m also thinking back to the early times when the primary collective had been realising many memorable open airs and illegal partys in old fabrics and other abandoned places.
