This week on The History of Jungle Show we welcome Boj Lucki onto the airwaves for a Bukva Sound showcase set. 
Since 2001 Bojan Lukic has been a resident and promoter for one the largest DNB nights in Scandinavia, REKYL as well as playing a major role in the Swedish Bass music scene bringing in artists including Goldie, LTJ Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider and a whole host of other talents. 
Bukva Sound is a brand new jungle label ran by Boj, operating from Sweden, Stockholm and Belgrade in Serbia. Promoting 'deeper, rave vibes' from artists across the globe with forthcoming music from Msymiakos, Thugwidow, Response, Buda, Coco Bryce and Tim Reaper.

The History of Jungle Show EP186 feat. Bukva Sound

You can rightfully argue Jungle Techno was born in 92 (although the label was used as early as 91) but 1993 was when it really came into it's own, some like to attribute it purely to the Basement/Ron Wells sound but for me and many others it was generally the 93 sound of Jungle and very fuzzy lines exist between what was also termed Jungle Hardcore and Darkcore. Regardless it was still well and truly the prototype period and still a wonderful fusion before becoming more defined and divided in the next couple of years.
Right now there is a great new wave of producers fleshing out this sound (and Jungle and Hardcore in general) as it had such a small window which is exciting to see for us that have been into it since the early 90's.
So before heading back off overseas again I am happy to knock out this vinyl mix without too many of the usual classics which have kinda been overkilled for me(although Meditation and Bang The Drums made the cut) such as a previously unreleased Ratty dubplate, a couple of underplayed Detroity Reinforced tracks and even some ravey Techno/Trance tunes that were personal favs on some classic  tapes from Sydney's bygone era. The first, which sets out to offer a complete Indiana Jones-style adventure in aural breakbeat/jungle form, was made back in late 2021.
