Globetrotters, time travelers, fun seekers, vinyl diggers, dance lovers… Many are the types of beings that thrive in this sonic culture of ours, finding shelter and happiness in this sensorial and emotional universe fostered by musical communion. And the creatures therein are more than just characters, they comprise the fauna and flora of these aural environments in which we dwell and revel, sustaining it with both their projects and their passion. Take the magnificent French trio known as Bayetë for example, an autonomous ecosystem of discovery and debauchery that strives to create the perfect conditions for our enjoyment of the treasures they find in their excursions across the world. A noble purpose that is so powerful that it does not solely rely on the collective's togetherness to exist, each of its members carry that same seminal drive in everything they do individually. Something we can perfectly perceive in this episode of Gop Cast where Simon, one of its members who recently relocated to São Paulo, manages to encapsulate the eclectic excellence of their musical abundance in a stellar mix of moods, grooves and everything in between.

One of the things that we love the most from the beloved berliner underground is the huge quantity of unknown/underrated djs that scene provides. The ones we decided to move here we always get surprised about dj's that one can see at the most filthy and infamous venues, being not strcktly necessary to go to Panorama Bar to see a nice set.

We introduce you this month to EXOTIKA, good friend and great selector. Joan Bernat the guy behind the name, is one of those obsessed diggers that are always in the search of the perfect beat and the warmest vibe. Balearic, downtempo, protohouse and everything in between is the leitmotif of the catalonian dj.

Member of the amazing collective "Ceremony", one of the hottest underground parties in Berlin, along with Nirel Nica, Llupe and Rafa (who already signed an MM Cast last year)

Soos is a DJ and producer that has been pushing an unconventional approach to dance music for over 13 years. Both his selections and studio work explore the phenomenon of cross-genre narratives, culminating in an overall shelter for his musical honesty where fun, amusement and discovery rule over all other traditional story-telling in dance music.
These day Soos is touring through the American continent and luckily spared some time to record this excellent mix.

Eric Duncan started DJ-ing in Manhattan’s Downtown bar and club circuit in the mid 90’s.

In 1996 he stepped out of the DJ booth to curate the music for the Girl Skateboards movie titled ‘Mouse’. A couple of years later, Eric along with Thomas Bullock formed the AfterHours party outfit ‘Rub-N-Tug’. 

After a few years of HARDCORE party providing to NYC’s left field underground. Eric began hitting the road with Rub-N-Tug, the rest is a blur.. ;)

In 2006 Eric & Liv Spencer started ‘Still Going’ releasing 2 singles on DFA Records including ‘Still Going Theme’ & ’Spaghetti Circus’ the later featuring Ultra talented Reggie Watts on vocals. Eric also has production collaborations with Dean Meredith of Chicken Lips fame and New York’s Justin Vandervolgen leader of ‘My Rules’

Hailing from Paris, Gautier Honorez, aka Monodominical is another top brass veteran digging deep in the trenches of European disco, sifting tightly through the endless catalogues of late 70s and early 80s dancefloor oriented releases. Heavy on the French and Italian fronts, this mix should serve as a good offramp to send you out into the weekend with a pleasant pep to your step. New mix comes courtesy of @Maybe-Tonight. Arguably unknown yet to many, the french collective nonetheless made a name for themselves among the most refined aesthetes through their infamous youtube channel. Promoting cool small parties and unveiling digs of the highest class, they're slowly but surely gaining a wider audience in Paris and beyond, We're glad to shine a light on the guys with this awesome mix accurately representing what they can play in party-mode.
