**UPDATE: Won 2nd Place in Kawaii Dreams From Mars contest out of 130+ entries!**

Inspired by the sun-drenched Summer of '88, this track was composed for Samples From Mars' "Kawaii Dreams From Mars" song contest.

All non-drum sounds were designed based on the inspiring Kawaii Dreams samples (heavily edited with TAL Sampler or Emu-II):

• VOICES: Bell Air, Hello, Return Home, Voices
• KEYS: Air Bass, Drops, Hologram, Jazz Harp, Randroid
• PADS: Analog Strings, Warm Strings

Drum sounds are courtesy of:

• Linn 9000, Fairlight IIx, Alesis HR-16, Roland TR-727, TR-808 ... and a cameo appearance of synth toms via Alpha Juno.

This is a compilation of parts from recordings I made when creating patches for the Prophet X synthesizer. I recorded much more, but edited down to the the best bits. There are no additional effects or processing. All effects are from the synth itself.

DISCLAIMER: There is no particular musicianship in these demos. They were recorded whilst patching mostly with one hand on the keyboard and the other hand tweaking knobs. The purpose of uploading is to give an idea of the tone, sound and character of the Prophet X as explored by one sound designer.
