Island post-punk from the south of Poland. The tour includes: unlimited cellar snorkeling, coffee on Enewetak and Bikini atolls, free time in the central depression. The cruise crew includes: Łukasz Plata (Ukryte Zalety Systemu, Przepych), Artur Soszynski (Ukryte Zalety Systemu) and Hubert Kostkiewicz (Kurws), powered by vocalist Agata Horwat. The whole is tied together with a dub brace by master of the console Szymon Szwarc (Jesień, Rozwód). „Koniec sosu tysiąca wysp” (The End of the Thousand Island Sauce) is an angular, overstimulated, rhythmically organized yet freedom-hungry punkoid in the vein of no wave or Minutemen, with a face that resembles absolutely no one.

"Marco Faraone’s mighty UNCAGE imprint welcomes the much respected Polish artist, Janeda to the label with a powerful exquisitely produced four tracker titled ‘Tucznik EP’
 
Having started out 7 years ago in 2015, Wroclaw born and raised artist Janeda has been running a label and hosting a weekly radio show called Strikt on 916FM in Poland, which are dedicated entirely to techno music in its various tones. 

For his first release on UNCAGE Janeda serves up a scintillating 4 track EP which is stripped back and raw yet full of energy and power. 

The first track is ‘Grezlany’, which is a sleek hypnotic track with little tripped out sounds meandering through the ever evolving track delivering a powerful and bouncing start to the EP.

Track two is ‘Spider Eyes’ which is laced with energy with a well thought out arrangement. With small yet simple chord sounds worked in the track he adds a delicate sub bass in there to give this extra groove and bounce. This is a classy techno affair for the heads-

Track three is ‘Wither’ uses chords in tandem with the snare to provide the essential groove right from the get go. As the track progresses, he adds tripped out atmospheric pads which give a feeling of floating through a dream. Great for moments when people are starting to ‘Wither’ so you can give them a bit of a rest bite, before powering on to the end of the set.   

Track four is ‘Rozkmina’ which means Break up in English. On this track Janeda gives this a more industrial tinge using well placed yet a minimal amount of sounds to keep that essential UNCAGE stripped back sound in place. With a killer arrangement this evolves through the track and is perfect for the 6am crew. 

Overall this is an excellent debut on the label from the up & coming Polish producer, Janeda which will certainly have heads turning in his direction waiting for future releases. "

Po przygodach w świecie retro gier (Uwdar, Cat.Finch & Pstyk) Superkasety wracają do eksperymentowania z samplami z polskich mniej i bardziej znanych utworów. Album "Radio Lato" wyprodukowany przez fopa to blisko 50-minutowa audycja pełna wpadających w ucho wokali, połamanych dźwięków perkusji, rozmarzonych melodii ale też eksperymentów z samplami. Wszystko to poprzetykane radiowymi wejściami w formie dialogu Jego i Jej. Prowadzący audycję zapraszają słuchacza do kolejnych utworów, prezentują pogodę i reklamy. Oczywiście w konwencji humorystycznej, a może nawet prześmiewczej - autorom audycji „Radio Lato” raczej daleko do hiperentuzjazmu dyskdżokejów z Radia Eska. W pewnym momencie przyznają nawet, że boli ich głowa… od wina 🙂 Zresztą wino to trochę leitmotiv tej płyty, co dodatkowo podkreśla letni i luźny charakter albumu. Znalazł się tu nawet kawałek zatytułowany po prostu „Wino”, ale też inne, wakacyjne numery takie jak chociażby „Szczęście” czy „Słońce”. Oczywiście one również - podobnie jak radiowe skity - nie są typowymi „letniakami”. To raczej lato duchologiczne, pełne nostalgii, lato za którym tęskni się nawet kiedy ono jeszcze trwa. Lato, które chcielibyśmy, żeby nie skończyło się nigdy albo takie, które pamiętamy z dawnych lat.
Brzmieniowo również jest to raczej nostalgiczna podróż - kawałki zostały nagrane w konwencji house („Wino”, „Czas”), jungle (balearyczne, połamane „Słońce”) a nawet trap („Twarz”) i dub („Rana”), ale są tutaj też bardziej eksperymentalne momenty jak kolaż ekstremalnie przekształconych sampli w „Ja”. Właściwie wszystko jest tutaj au rebours - radiowe dialogi, jakich w radiu nie usłyszymy, muzyka teoretycznie lekka, bo przecież letnia, a jednak wielowymiarowa. Wszystko to tworzy atmosferę gęstą jak sierpniowe powietrze, które jest przyjemne, ale też budzi w nas podskórnie niepokój, że ten piękny czas pełen słońca, wina i zabawy niebawem się skończy.  
To letnia wizja totalna - letnia, ale nie banalna, mocno duchologiczna. Zapraszamy na audycję jakiej jeszcze nie słyszeliście - „Radio Lato”!

The album "Radio Lato" produced by FOPA is almost 50 minutes long and is full of catchy vocals, broken percussion sounds, dreamy melodies but also experiments with samples. All this interwoven with radio entrances in the form of a dialogue between him and her. The hosts invite the listener to listen to subsequent tracks, present the weather and commercials. Of course, the convention is humorous or even ridiculous. At one point they even admit that their head hurts... from wine 🙂
Sound-wise it's also rather a nostalgic journey - the tracks were recorded in house convention ("Wino", "Czas"), jungle (balearic, broken "Słońce") and even trap ("Twarz") and dub ("Rana"), but there are also more experimental moments like the collage of extremely transformed samples in "Ja". Actually, everything here is au rebours - radio dialogues, which we won't hear on the radio, music which is theoretically light, because it's summer, and yet multidimensional. All this creates an atmosphere as thick as the August air, which is pleasant, but also makes us feel uneasy that this beautiful time full of sun, wine and fun will soon end.  We invite you to a programme you have never heard before - "Radio Lato"!

While living in Kraków, Łukasz Jastrubczak played on synthesizer in the band Boring Drug, together with Tomasz Kowalski, Igor Kłaczyński, Jakub de Barbaro, Ewa Polska, Wiktor Podgórski and occasionally with Jasmina Polak. After moving to Szczecin in 2013, feeling a lack of collective energy, as DUCH he began recording looped, overlapping layers of improvised sounds on home cassette equipment. Selected tracks from about 100 cassettes, were compiled on a self-released cassette album "Utah Jazz" (2016) and album "Y" released in 2022 by "Pointless Geometry". Together with Małgorzata Mazur - the author of the illustration for the cover of "Y" - he runs the institution "CentrumCentrum" which is dedicated to social ecology and art. He lives in Szczecin where he works at the Media Art Department of the Academy of Art.
