This hybrid DJ / Live Set was recorded in a yurt structure at the Freerotation Festival in Wales. This time my idea for the set was to take us all much further out, much deeper inside than the set from last year. A more disembodied experience. 

As I had done last year, I sat on the floor in front of the speakers to perform instead of behind them as a DJ normally does. This greatly enhanced my feeling of experiencing the set with the audience, dissolving the usual performer / audience divide. 
Below is the list of tracks that I played in addition to live improvisation using a eurorack modular system.

Welcome to the 36th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics.
This monthly released podcast brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. This months session is created by Amber Cox and it's called: Lucinate Circadian Rhythm

Bio:

Amber Cox is a sound artist and visionary from San Francisco, CA. Influenced by psychoacoustics and metaphysical beliefs, with her music, she aims to inspire the way people listen and perceive sound, by luring them into a deep hypnosis and expansion through multi channel audio and visual installations, rewarding them with her sense of beauty, playing on darkness, light, space and timelessness. This year Amber released her E.P "Electric Lights" on Motek records with a remix by Marcus Henricksson/Minilogue. She is also partners with Oona Dahl in their project Slumber. Their sound covers the spheres of hypnotic techno to eternal soundscapes with releases on labels like My Favorite Robot, Motek, Bad Animal.

About Max:

Max Würden lives and works in Cologne Germany. He is since 1987 a musician and producer. In 2001 he started also with soundtrack productions. But in 2000 his music took shape when he started creating ambient music. Using samples, loops, field recordings and instruments. A variaty of genres came across his path: Ambient, soundscapes and dub ambient. To get the maximum experience he performs live.

Heute haben wir ein super spezielles Set von Marie Wilhelmine Anders auf der musikalischen Speisekarte, auf dessen Veröffentlichung wir uns schon eine Weile sehr freuen !!

Die Berlinerin, sie lebt also quasi am Puls der deutschen Elektro Szene, ist Komponistin und Produzentin und ein "menschliches Wesen" - wie sie selbst sagt. 
In ihren elektronischen Werken übersetzt sie u.a. Gedichte von Robert Louis Stevenson in eine zeitgenössische, erwachsene, elektronische Sprache, dramatisch wie auch cineastisch !!

Roswitha's introduction to electronic music took place in Amsterdam during the heyday of the extremely dry minimal. She became fascinated by the endlessly repetitive sounds and loops. Soon she wanted to feel and experience this music herself. Rattling turntables in cozy living rooms were soon exchanged for many underground parties and festivals. The love for the simplicity of a loop versus the endless variety within electronic music remains an ever interesting playing field. The search for the emotion in a track plays a central rol in the choice of records.
Roswitha is represented by Amsterdams' The Other Self Agency. She has been part of the line-up at Garbicz Festival, Into the Woods, Landjuweel Ruigoord, Berlin’s KopfUber, Shoeless and Alter Ego. She released her debut EP Fields this summer, together with Merlijn Nash on The Other Eye Label - including a premiere for Deep House Vancouver.

Aufgebracht steht die schwatzende Meute
vor dem Denkmahl. Wut kocht über, die Fackeln entzündend, feiern sie den kulturellen Verfall. Unverständnis für die Geschichte und Taten aus vergangenen Epochen, beginnt der Niedergang mit Hämmern und Klopfen. 
Einer stachelt den anderen auf, so nimmt das Unheil seinen Lauf. Aus Missfallen wird blinder Zerstörungswahn, im letzten Moment rette ich mich aus der Abschussbahn. 
Die Meute ist unwiederbringlich in ihrem Rausch. Das desaströse Ausmaß geht über diese eine Statur hinaus. Ehe man sich versieht, brennt schon das erste Haus. Der ganze Block in Flammen, wer hält diese Horde bloß auf?

IV-IN hat für dieses KataHaifisch-Wochenende einen Podcast der entspannten Art zubereitet. Die Percussion-Elemente erschaffen wie das Hufgetrappel aufgeschreckter Pferde eine treibende Atmosphäre. Gemeinsam steuern das Bläser- & Streicherensemble die angemessene Dosis Harmonie bei, während Piano & Vocals das Bindeglied in der Klangkette synthetisieren.

This is the 72nd Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. The monthly released session brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. This month Ujjaya makes his debut with a Ethno - Ambient set that defines his unique sound combined with live instruments.

About:

Ujjaya is a french poly-instrumentalist with malagasy roots.
His first instrument is the guitar.In the early 90ʻs he first create the prog-metal band Ujjaya, a sextet, but heavily influenced by Steve Roach , Robert Rich , Jorge Reyes and jon Hassell he turned later fully to the ethno-ambient genre at the end of the 90ʼs.
He completely disappeared from the music scene, given his priority to his spiritual seeking. He reappeared on the early 2011 with the acclaimed «The Master of Crossroads». Heʼs famous then in Paris for organizing some sleep and nap concerts, and for the paris ambient Festival.Heʼs focusing in sacred places (pagoda, crypt, church, hindu temple he even made a sleep concert in London in a trurkish
mosque, the dome). Live he play dozen of world instrument but mostly veena and gamelan , but never put them on record yet he rarely give the same show twice.

Illogic is proud to present the new radio show cast by the new artist @marie-w-anders 

Trained in a variety of musical and instrumental styles since her early childhood, she received her first technical training as a sound engineer. Her affinity for microphones, cables and last but not least the cutting of music stems from this time. In 1989, at the age of nineteen, she was a member of the East Berlin underground scene as a keyboarder.
She studied music at the universities in Berlin and Stuttgart, where she was an active member of the improvised and experimental music scene until 2005.
During this time, in addition to her solo activities, she founded two ensembles - Unterton and Hammerhaus - which brought together groove and free-flowing improvised forms from different perspectives.
She initiated and directed "momentmusik" - a "concert series for experimental and improvised music, visual arts, performance and language" at the "Theater Rampe Stuttgart", which established the connection between her ensembles and the national and international scene.
In 2005 she ended her concert activity, went back to Berlin and started producing her music with Cubase. Since 2009 she publishes her music under the pseudonym Marie Wilhelmine Anders.

Electronic music allows her to combine groove with the beauty of the freely unfolding form and thereby realizing her very own expression. The album "Andersworld" (2020) released by the label Broque is the second in a series of albums based on the poems of Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson. Marie's conceptual thinking and her craft as a modern classical composer allow her to congenially translate his lyrics into a modern electronic language, which is influenced by techno and electronica.

"Andersworld"​ is already an extremely multi-faceted work of art, which combines club music, storytelling and a curious approach to classical and electronic instruments in a virtuoso way, resulting in an album that always rests harmoniously in itself. As if the influences and facets weren't diverse enough, the follow-up Andersworld Remix album takes that to the next level: across eleven remixes, eight artists stemming from a close yet extended circle of friends sharpen the electronic and club-oriented dimension of Maries songs.
"Andersworld Remixes" will be released on Oktober 1th by Broque. www.broque.de

Tom was born on October 24, 1979 in Sonneberg. At the age of 16 he discovered his love for electronic music. At that time he was inspired by music sets of Richie Hawtin, Karotte and many other artists.He also had a big interest in spinning records.
Tom began to create Mixes... He put on records in many reputable locations in his homeland and at numerous radio stations like Sputnik Radio for example. He convinced lots of parties with his ingenious DJ Skills and also wants to convince you. For Tom electronic music is just timeless.

Marie Wilhelmine Anders is a wanderer in music.

Since she was 5 years old, she has had violin and music theory lessons. But it was the piano that had to come into the house. For three years she taught herself and invented music whenever she came along. Her wish to study composition was fulfilled at the University Of The Arts Berlin, but only after a excursion into sound engineering, the East Berlin underground music scene (as a keyboarder) and drum playing. Her versatility was probably as much a part of her cradle as her enormous musical talent. She made excursions into sound art (sound installations in Berlin and Nuertingen) and could not be satisfied with writing a score. She therefore completed her music studies in Stuttgart, where she was able to realise her great talent for musical improvisation, her joy of movement and the desire to become a music teacher.

During this time, in addition to her solo activities as an improvisor (piano and electronics), she founded two ensembles - Unterton and Hammerhaus - which brought together groove and free-flowing improvised forms from different perspectives. In 2005 she ended her concert activity and moved back to Berlin. She learned to play the electric bass, began producing her music with Cubase and publishing it under the pseudonym Marie Wilhelmine Anders.

She discovered the poems of Robert Louis Stevenson and began to develop her new electronic musical language along his verses. Marie's conceptual thinking and her craft as a modern classical composer allow her to congenially translate his lyrics into a modern electronic language, which is influenced by techno and electronica. She has released three albums since then. Particularly noteworthy among them are the 2020 releases on the Munich record label Broque: "Andersworld" and the recently released "Andersworld Remixes".

"Marie works her way out of all restrictions and experiments with styles and musical directions. Whereby she adapts formal means and creates something very own. As always, I am impressed by her accuracy in everything she does. Marie is the secret phoenix among my friends, who puts on a new and even more splendid plumage after each ashes. I have great admiration for their consistency, uncompromisingness, unconditional honesty, absolute fidelity and loyalty. One speaks of the phoenix as an eternally youthful bird. And he can fly anyway. Only that it cannot be seen by everyone. But times are changing."
