Based on the stylistic content of the compilation, the boundaries of it can be outlined by tracks from BT Gate X-138, which turned out to be the most noisy and ambient, and Spacedrome, which turned out to be tech with shades of minimal. Also on the collection there are references to reggae music in the track from Khlev with melodic vocal inserts. In the rest of the compositions can clearly be seen the love of the authors to dub techno music, their identity and approach to producing, their depth and perspectives on contemporary sound. Enjoy listening!

Welcome to the first guest mix for 2019 and we start the year off in fine style with a real beauty from Dutch based DJ and Producer George K aka Kyrro. 
I do like to be introduced to new artists and i love to listen to their interpretations , not really knowing what to expect.       As soon as I started listening to this set , I instantly fell in love with it – anyone who regularly checks this page will know the sound I am into and this mix is DEFINITELY me!
This one is full on purist deep and dub techno and is hopefully the first of many mixes to feature from Kyrro up on my page.

Bio:
My name is Michael Sieler (aka. M.S.). Living in the Pacific Northwest of the US, much of my life has been accompanied by rainy, gloomy skies. But it also has its fair share of beautiful mountains, coasts and forests. Growing up among these environments is what attracts me to the wide ranging sounds of dub techno. With my mixes I like to not only showcase my most cherished tracks, but I also want to invite the listener on a journey with me. It being winter time in the PNW, my mind is often on the cold, rainy days and this mix reflects that. So grab your favorite hot beverage, a cozy blanket, sit back and relax while we explore the cold and rainy soundscapes of dub techno.

Belgium sibling duo Rikaar return to Apollo Records with ‘IC 1848’. Rikaar dryly introduce themselves as ‘makers of remarkable music’, and they’re not wrong there. What the brothers call ‘space ambient’ started with a quirky passion for the music of John Carpenter, ​Star Trek, a​nd ​Stranger Things, ​and evolved into their own evocative synth sound that is simply mesmerising. ‘We like to seduce with our music,’ say Kas and Ringo, who have been turning thoughts into tunes together since 2013. 2019’s ‘HUDF.YD3_II’ saw the pair’s introduction to the esteemed and long-standing Apollo label, it’s follow up ‘IC 1848’ furthers their reputation with its mature and sensitive sound design. Opening track, ‘Rescan The Infinite IC 1848 - A Song For Freedom’ mines a deep audio vein, wandering from the slightly ominous to the strikingly harmonic with perfect cinematic grace. On the flipside, ‘Dream Structure’ delivers a rich soundscape of ethereal pads and warm bass as subtle but emotive synth melodies glide above.
