After his acclaimed album for us released recently, Ribé comes again into the mothership with this modular madness EP, proving again his mastery of intelligent techno and sound design.

La penumbra is the first track, as the title suggests, darkness and shadows come immediately to mind when listening to it. A solitary bass drum joined by several drones and ambiences interleaving and mutating over the arrangement.

El Método follows, electric and sharp, with repetitive modular bleeps floating over a bass heavy groove. The only additional elements are percussive and come into the track progressively until the hypnotic climax.

Flipping the record, Las Raíces introduce distortion and roughness on the equation, relying on a powerful groove soon accompanied by high pitched drones and electric synthetic washes.

Last Tune is Bajo el Olivo, liquid and elastic, with resonant bubbles going asymmetricaly on top of the rhythm with occasional percussive details going on the back. A sci-fi sequence appears in the middle of the track adding additional sound hypnosis.

No doubt that Ribé has his own trademark sound and we are really proud of having him onboard.

For our release number 073 we go hard and strong with the mysterious combo El Jóven Prisionero. They come back home, ten releases after their Sesiones Mercurio EP. The formula is again direct to the floor with no roundabouts, strong percussive elements and direct sonic aggression provided at a high tempo rate.

Tactel opens fire with an enormous bass drum spiced with stereo panned high frequencies, shuffled hats add tension to the equation while micro drones and processed textures do the rest. A perfect shot to demolish some club roofs around the globe.

Second bullet is Kinki, hypnosis is the key here, starting with the whole groove from bar one, then growing in intensity with different sound layers all served in a continuous and progressive arrangement. This one is for the mind and the body.

Anti Tú combines scifi vibes with heavy duty drums in an elastic tool for the skilled mixers out there, setting the pace to the next exercise, La Raya where asymmetric Fm sequences bring the funk, again over a superb drum programming workout.

Digital bonus is Sin el Groove, drastically reducing the BPM rate, using Fm synths again for the sequences, closing this aerobic session in an exhausted mood.

This release is going to be a limited one with 200 numbered copies pressed on red vinyl before another standart edition with different artwork and classic black wax.

The master of dynamic modular synthesis returns strongly to Polegroup and with nothing less than a complete album under his belt. Alberto Pascual defines with his alter ego Ribé what contemporary techno should be, direct, precise, aggressive and mental all in one.
 
In these twelve cuts that make up his new album, the producer based in the mountains of Madrid puts into operation all his knowledge of electronic machinery to develop a discourse that bears his own signature and places him among the greatest exponents of peninsular techno at the moment.
 
Unlike previous works, this time we can perceive greater harmonic and emotional content in his productions, as can be heard in the first of the album's songs, which also gives the title to the double vinyl. Here the floating synthetic strings are combined with rhythms borrowed from the motor city in an exquisite way.
 
But things quickly change context in the second of the exercises, La Rabia, whose title perfectly defines the sensations perceived when listening. Here the roots in the British tradition are clear but always under the personal prism that he always brings to his inimitable works.
 
The extreme sounds continue in Itinerario sin Click and when we are hot, we return to calm with El Sutil Arte, where crunchy textures and broken rhythms combine to create an experimental and corrosive theme, but relaxing at the same time.
 
Ellas pick up the pulse slowly, with precision scifi details to give way to El Sigilo, which definitely sounds like the best of the Birmingham sound.
100215 returns to outer space and galactic funk as a prelude to El Nuevo Mundo, a superlative exercise in emotional electronica.
 
Inercia returns to the frenetic dance and the machine slows down again in El Aire, dragging and dense the concept, flirting with the industrial sound of the pioneers of the genre.
 
The end of the sound journey is approaching with one of the most outstanding pieces of the album, Avenidas, which is a perfect minimalist tool for risky mixes.
 
We Finish the trip with El Entusiasmo, a perfect techno anthem with all the necessary ingredients to demolish any qualified dance floor.

The time has finally come to have Kwartz in this house again and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the quality of the work he has delivered. It is clear that his new residency at the best techno club on the planet, Berghain, has helped his inspiration multiply exponentially and this is definitely reflected in this brand new work that leaves us wanting more.

Four slices of techno with all the letters, which define exactly what the genre should be without seasonal additives, dynamic electronic dance music, without an expiration date, which could be signed thirty years ago or in the distant future.

Mario does not entertain himself with extreme speeds, nor with predictable developments, nor with pre-cooked sounds. His approach to musical creation is slow and artisanal, meditating and maturing each of the ingredients he uses, without fear of being left out of the media radar.

This entire procedure is reflected in the excellent result, The Golden Hour is a perfect example of everything said above. Strong and firm rhythms, constantly evolving arrangements, elaborate sound design and a firm dance attitude.

Enter The Zone turns the rhythm towards broken bass drums, slightly presses the accelerator and introduces disturbing atmospheres combined with organic percussion details in a masterful way. A true catalyst for expert mixers.

On side B, Under Control once again breaks tradition with a broken, hypnotic and continuous rhythm, a first-rate brain driller for the club's peak moments.

The EP ends with Animal Instinct, which does not lower the intensity one bit, adding an overwhelming rhythm with dynamic percussive details, with no room for rest, perfect for the dancers to travel to unknown dimensions.

Berlin based producer CONCEPTUAL is back home after his Not an easy one Ep, again providing his own vision on techno, full of sonic landscapes, detail and intelligence.

Release starts with Approach slowly a brief atmospheric intro that sets the pace for what comes next in Il silenzio degli innocenti introducing the rhythmic pulse from the first bar with almost all elements into he equation, this is a minimalistic tool where percussive elements evolve in a subtle manner all over the arrangement.

No more excuses continues in the mood, adding more spice to the formula with reverberated details, growing mental sequences and the usual complex groove. Intense and mental all in one.

Sand fury follows, with atmospheres colliding with rugged components, evolving all together in a progressive arrangement, a superb tool to enhance your mixes properly.

Miles per hour introduces you into another sonic realm, using elastic synth lines, a wise reverb work and a sensation of infinite space combined with floor intensity. Again a proper intelligent missile for the adequate dancefloors out there.

Simone Scardino is one of those few creators that always pushes his sound one step further and we are super proud to have him onboard again.

Valentín Corujo belongs to the main core of our label since forever, alone as Kessell and also as part of his Exium project. 

Through his long spanning career he has developed an own signature in sound, combining the rude industrial approach from Birmingham roots with the soul of the american foundations. Using his machinery as a vehicle to transmit his own vision on techno.

His sonic speech is always personal and aside of trends, using distortion as a weapon, creating solid and mental tools for the most advanced club environments.

This new EP makes no difference, four cuts of raw and intricate hypnosis without compromise.

Savage Garden sums up all being said before, a busy drum workout, the necessary amount of distortion and the complexity needed for your head to be abducted.

On Hidden Echoes speed rises, the rhythm is more intense, and the repetitive synth motifs grow and mutate, piercing your cortex as the arrangement flows.

B side starts with Seeing Beyond a robust groover with an asymmetric scifi touch on top spiced with drones and atmosphere floating over the complex structure.

Missing Time closes the release again mixing rugged drums with futuristic details, using reverb to create space in the mix and sharp hi-hats to keep your feet busy on the floor while having your mind blurred with the synthetic elements.

Another immaculate step in a flawless career.
