He was born under the influence of oriental music and the encounter between modular sound and tribal percussion. His live sets aim to create an introspective ecosystem, blending shamanic atmospheres and complex rhythms without genre boundaries.

Hey, Electro people ! Our next guest mix comes from Dora Gray. She has been steadily making waves as a skilled old school minded DJ in her hometown of Turku, Finland, and beyond. Though she started out spinning house and techno, Dora eventually developed a passion for electro, as well as more leftfield IDM and acid sounds. Her love for art, culture and cinema guides her style of making dramatic selections that always aim to tell a story. Enjoy !

Solar Flex draws inspiration from 90s club oriented dance music and sets moods from laid back outdoors to prime time club nights and after hours. On the A-side ‘Stepping Toward Zen’ prepares for the mental workout with shivering chants that gain consciousness to rhythmic tablas and spacious bleeps. Next, mysterious energies set free with ‘Entropica’ unfolding its wobbly dub baseline to the enigma of pitched cymbals and robo-rhythms aligned by the steady-state of a bouncing four-to-the-floor 909 kick. ‘Supernature’ pops the B-side with a more club-oriented electro-trance blended stomper soothed by watery pads that set a pause before straight breaks and alien leads ask for their sweaty tributes. Finishing off, ‘Tablagauze’ primes for after hours with a gnarly downtempo chugger speckled with overdriven analogue drums and hypnotic acid arpeggios.

Out of Step looks into industrial, mechanical sounds, some of which almost don’t qualify as “dance” music anymore. ex.sses, lloydfears, Ōtone, VCR and gillielove take you on a march where you feel like you keep tripping up.

The sound of glitchy, distorted things, being chopped up or smashed into pieces, this is what unites these 5 tracks in a various almost out of step with withthe rest of Bait’s releases.
