Poly Action are a power-pop, rock 'n' roll band from Austin, TX comprised of Ray Garza (guitar), Gianni Sarmiento (lead guitar), Zane Frisch (bass), and Ben Humphreys (drums). Since forming in 2015, Poly Action have toured the East coast, and Midwest including Chicago, Nashville, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia. Their debut album, "Baby's First Rock N' Roll" has been described as having " a touch of that Flaming Lips indie-rock with a big helping of alt-country rock in the style of greats like Wilco" (KUTX) and a "rollicking fun and gritty blend of acoustic and electric elements" and "rewarding details like startlingly thoughtful layers of picked guitar parts and outstanding vocal melodies" (Austin Monthly).

Susan is the Creative Director at PLAY BY PLAY: Computational Thinking for the Creative Arts™. 
In PLAY BY PLAY™ workshops: artists, teachers and students engage in computational thinking exercises to automatically create and perform original songs and musical stories about any STEM subject, any topic or any issue. 
As an Instructional Designer, Susan has written curriculum-based books, scripts, songs and/or activities for Sesame Workshop, Disney, Nickelodeon, Jim Henson’s Muppets, and Warner Brothers’ Looney Tunes. Her syndicated music segments on WNYC for Kids America were distributed by American Public Radio. Her non-fiction interviews and articles have appeared in Money Mag., Sports Illustrated for Kids and Edtech Digest, where she is currently a contributing editor. 
Teaching Artist credits include workshops at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA., Anderson University,IN; American Stage Theatre, St. Petersburg FL., Boys & Girls Harbor, Harlem, NY, Salvage Vanguard Theater, Austin, TX., ASPVA, Austin, TX..and Odo Sound, Austin, TX.

This page is my "musical blog," where my band and I post demos and ideas of new tunes, some just solo acoustic, and some that maybe incorporate a new thing I am trying to learn in my recording software. These are all "first drafts," meaning that they are subject to change and morphing as they get played. Also it's where I post my tunes for songwriting groups that I participate in.
