As you may have already noticed, the first compilation 'GLYPHS : WOOD' has been released on my label @qeone.rec a few days ago. 
It's a sound design focused series of releases, I always choose one specific material or substance for each of them which the artists shall then translate into the musical language - in this case I chose wood. 🪵🪵
In connection to the concept, I invite the producers to reveal some details about their idea behind the track and also some tricks which they used for their production process. 🎛️

I also produced a track for this occasion, it's name is 'iunua'. I recorded a little video to show you the ableton project of this track. In my eyes, this was the perfect call to finally officially launch my youtube channel. 🎉
Some of you might already know this profile, as I continuously uploaded my whole discography during the past years. 🎵

To celebrate the first extended play on De la... je l'espère, Partial Pressure EP by Seta Loto, the Italian minimal bass gem, takes listeners through soundscapes where unseen forces shape and bend the space around them. Inspired by the concept of partial pressures —forces coexisting in harmony—  
the EP blends minimal drum and bass, left-field bass, and experimental textures, drifting between the scientific and the surreal. Across 4 original tracks and 2 remixes, the music explores how distinct components unite to form a greater whole.

With 'Mica', Illinois-based artist @zvrra delivers a kaleidoscopic EP that pushes the boundaries of genre and form. Drawing from techno, breakbeat, ambient, and electronica, Zvrra weaves a sonic tapestry that is as intricate as it is imaginative.
Opening with ‚Butterfly‘, the listener is welcomed by a layered interplay of breakbeat rhythm and glistening synths which create a compelling contrast between motion and serenity. The top melody gently flutters, adding a soft emotional tone to the driving groove. The path continues through ‚Wooden Rain‘, where Organic percussion patterns tumble over each other like raindrops on dry wood. The tribal rhythms create a hypnotic momentum that feels both primal and futuristic. Melodies breeze through the third track ‚Prairie Scrub‘ which feel like gusts across a glowing plain. Mandarax (com10) completes new.com’s trilogy, following Riddleyspeak (com08) and U-1 Flight (com09) – a total of 16 tracks of diverse and exploratory bass music, deeply rooted in techno, foundation dubstep, and, of course, dub.

Mandarax opens yet another generous treasure chest of tools and gems: Sinka (140 bpm) unfolds with a haunting, half-stepping string theme that continuously lifts your mind to higher, brighter ground. Lor (140 bpm) goes club-wise with hard, syncopated kicks and insistent sounds, underpinned by an evolving, intense bassline. Lira (133 bpm) playfully backs you up with a dense weave of percussion and drums; close to techno, yet resisting the formula. Dirno (138 bpm) delivers pure, trippy bassline vibes; garage-influenced and colored by Detroit-style synth themes. Nanno (133 bpm) drifts into space as a laid-back stepper, saturated with lush dub effects and cryptic vocals. Keel (136 bpm) rounds out the release with a more experimental, introverted, and subtly understated cut.

Once again, the titles refer to a literary masterpiece of exceptional imaginative power: Galápagos (1985) by Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007). The novel wittily yet incisively examines the farcical workings of humans’ overly large brains in a setting a little less than one million years from now. Mandarax is a universal translator and a repository of human knowledge, while Sinka, Lor, Lira, etc. are orphaned descendants of the cannibalistic Kanka-bono tribe who accidentally become “the mothers of all modern humankind.”
