The three Moirai (The Fates), Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos, are some of the only forces who hold power over both gods and mortals.
"The Spinner" was said to spin the thread of life, "The Allotter" would decide on how long this thread of life would be, and "The Inevitable", would cut the thread to bring the life to an end.
They also used to sing in unison with the music of the Sirenes, with Lachesis singing the things that were, Clotho the things that are, and Atropos the things that will be.
