047 - ANGEL D'LITE

After spending many musical hours together in dr. Seltsam's fallout shelter, Pon de Panda and Etcha decided it was time to bundle their forces to reach out to the world with a Seltsam message. The result is a song that seamlessly combines the pop sensibilities of Pon de Panda with the electronic production skills of Etcha.
It's an honest track that starts off with more than a nod to the eighties and is joined by a light tickling acid synth line before it dissipates into the stars. An uplifting piece of music equally suited for the dancefloor and the alternative pop charts which breathes one message: let's all toast to love!

By bringing down the bpm and adding synth which wash over you like surf-able waves, Stijn Sadee takes the track to the beach. Sounds like Todd Terje mixed with a healthy sip of DFA, shaken and stirred to obtain maximal disco punk effect.

I know Hypeddit can be a little annoying, but I would be very happy if you didn't delete your reposts/comments after using this service as it helps me a lot (plus, you can always use Bandcamp to get this without having to repost anything ;)). About the CD:
005 of the 'Classic Mix CD' collection brings a much slower affair. From the superb 'Back To Mine' CD series. The first I purchased was actually Danny Tenaglia's disc, which I bought out of curiosity being a fan of his house DJ sets. That disc almost made it here, but it was the Groove Armada release which really got hammered on my old Sony stereo. No other disc reminds me of lazy summer sundays more than this. And it was really the first musical selection that steered me towards collecting and playing a mix of music all together. Going from A Tribe Called Quest, into Barry White's incredible "Playing Your Game Baby" then house and other genre's coming in.... really resonated with me and elevated the way I put music together. Both listening to and playing out. A truly seminal release.
