London based Dj/Producer EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive. She has built a reputation as a huge advocate for purist Electro and a creator of a dark and warped experience. Her sound best personifies ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections and the journey she takes you on.

EKATA's debut release was on 'planet destroyed' - a VA by AVOIDANT, the Electro sub label of Soma Records.
Others featured on the same VA are long standing top tier artists such as Marcel dettman, Slam, terrestrial Access Network + many more. 

Aswell as this, she was also selected as one of the new faces of the biggest music institution in the world - TRESOR in Berlin, which saw her play her signature Electro sound in the prestigious cage in September 2022. 

She's also a resident for Natural Selection, a London based label and events collective that consistently pushes the boundaries with its forward thinking lineups and releases featuring artists in the Techno, Electro and Experimental world.

Small town girl Mila grew up in a village in Brabant province. Collecting music from a young age and creating playlists for each vibe. In that habit, she proved to be better than she thought.. After years of collecting music, living in different cities and going to many parties, she now wanted to share her love for music with the world as well. Mila Black is keeping dancefloors energized and is not showing any signs of slowing down since.

“I like to create balanced uptempo sets with all the different gems I have found. Lately I’ve been hugely impressed with techno music: I love the deep hypnotic tones combined with a fast-paced stride with an upbeat upper layer that pulls you forward. I strive to further experiment with techno and keep developing my identity as an artist.”

Mila is excited to dive deeper and deeper into this continuously moving world of music to create balanced sets with pearls she has found, to take you on a journey of discovery. We can only assume you'll see and hear a lot more from her in the years to follow.

A real music freak, who has mixed her fave electro, idm and techno tracks since 2005. She is the former co-editor of Selection Sorted TechnoPodcast, has been a guest in many-many radioshows and podcasts, she has played in many clubs and festivals of Hungary(Kontra, wndrlnd, Corvintető, Müszi, Kuplung, R33, Egál,S.U.N festival,Ozora ect...) and also abroad, like Slovakia,Austria,Romania and France.She is currently based in Nijmegen(NL). 
She is also program coordinator and resident at Open Source Radio in Nijmegen.

We’re Going Deep is a new label run by an old head – Paul Wise aka Placid, born out of a lifelong affair with the many shades of deep electronic music and a thirst for collecting records since 1989.
Rather than staying too hung up on the past, the label’s mission is to release new music for the dance floor, your front room or even just your headphones. If you’ve come across the We’re Going Deep forum – you’ll know all about the journey and the collective digging that goes deep into Acid, Electro, Techno, Deep House and even the odd foray into downtempo territory.
