ORIGINS [Premier League Recordings]

At Premier League Recordings, we are always on the lookout for unique tracks. 'Overworld' from Japan-based producer Jay Turio certainly fits the description. Inspired by the sounds of the Eighties and Nineties game music in 8 and 16 bit, Jay delivers an unusual piece of music. On remix duties we have Dutch producer GeorD, who has taken inspiration from classic hard trance tracks for his 'Bit Harder' Remix.

Track description:
The original extended mix of 'Overworld' is a blend of 16 bit sounds, with a mixture of uplifting and proglifting vibes. The track easily transports you back in time, entering the world of a Super Nintendo boss level. Jay managed to integrate the bit-sounds without making them annoying, or sounding like a Tetrtis theme rip-off. He creates a unique melody and soundscape, with a slowed down break, before teasing towards reaching the higher 'levels' of his track. The production displays a beautiful layering of 16-bit sounds with the more modern trance production essentials. The track has a one-of-a-kind groove and feel, and displays the creativity and versatility of this upcoming talent perfectly.

Another hard hitting powertrance track is our fourth installment on League One. Italian based producer Speed DJ had his break on DJ Spaceman's Tuned:Flow label and with Divine Power he now makes his debut on Premier League recordings as well. Divine Power represents an energy builder that hits like a hammer when the lead kicks in. With its pounding kickdrums, this track is the true representation of powertrance!

Fans of The Conductor & the Cowboy had to be patient for a while, but with 'Here On My Own Again' the one and only trance band delivers their first release of this year on Premier League Recordings. 'Here On My Own Again' is a late summer anthem, with the distinguished voice of singer Aero and the euphoric vibe The Conductor & The Cowboy are known for. The package comes with outstanding remixes from Genzuru and Mercurial Virus.

The Extended Mix follows the structure of a classic trance track, moving from a vocal stutter into the melodic introduction. The piano leads in the breakdown, with the first verse and chorus of the catchy vocal. Right before the climax, the song even features an old school vocal bridge, before the leads take over and the track hits its peak. The band that is known for trance anthems with hit potential, ever since they released 'Feeling This Way' and returned to the scene with 'Sail Away', did it again. An earworm of a track, that will appeal to both casual listeners and diehard trance fans.

After a few remix duties, and an album release on Discover Records, we are happy to announce Mark Van Rijswijk returns with his Genzuru project to our label with a solo release! Both the title and sleeve suggest the track took inspiration from the past. But be not mistaken, Revival is a top notch modern trance production.

The track builds like an old Anjunabeats release (pre-progressive era) with a deep and driving kick and a vintage sounding synth line. The breakdown features piano, guitar and even a drum pattern with a rock feel. But it's all building towards the uplifting lead dropping after. Genzuru manages to sound unusual in the uplifting scene, maintaining a signature creativity to his work, while still pulling of a quality modern production. 'Revival' is no exception to that.

With a unique production, G-Domano makes his debut on Premier League Recordings. 'Vortex De La lune' is a modern produced uplifting track, but feels different in many ways. The track has an unusual structure and melodyline, that truly feels like a 'full moon dance'. 

In some ways, the track reminds of the classic by DJ Astrid & Tommy Pulse - Twinkle. The track is a burst of energy, and comes in two flavours. The Club Mix is the DJ-friendly version of Vortex, but the full intention of the producer comes to fruition when checking the Original Extended Mix, which stretches to almost 10 minutes in length. If this is how a debut sounds, the future looks promising for this producer!

Shortly after 'Here On My Own Again', The Conductor & The Cowboy return with yet another vocal bomb. Initially created for the upcoming 'SoundTourism' mix compilation, 'Endless Summer Days' walks a slightly different path compared to previous C&C releases. With the majority being 138bpm uplifting tracks, this feels a bit different. 'Endless Summer Days' comes in on 134bpm and mainly is a feelgood trance record in the tradition of acts like Fragma. The song is sweet as honey, but to make it appeal to the more underground DJs and fans, the package comes with a bangin' Mercurial Virus Remix, and both the original and remix have a Dub included as well.

The Extended Mix is a throwback to vocal pop trance from 20 years ago. 'Endless Summer Days' is the definition of a feelgood track, with a sticky vocal that will play in your head for days after the first listen. The melody is simple and catchy, and is combined with a Spanish guitar for the ultimate summer feel. This one has Ibiza sunsets written all over it. An ode to the past, when trance dominated charts globally and a true showcase of the capability of this 'Trance-band' to deliver ear pleasing hit records.

The Conductor & The Cowboy Feat. Aero - Endless Summer Days (Extended Mix)

With a proven track record in the progressive trance surroundings, it was an absolute no-brainer to sign Russian producer Anton Trian with an original to the main label. Previous Trian releases already received support from legendary DJ's such as Ferry Corsten and Cosmic Gate, while the Russian also was responsible for one of the best remixes of the first Premier League release 'Any Given Day' by Mykynes. Quite some time has passed since that one was released, but it is with great pride we weclome back the Russian Magician to our imprint with his new track 'Pacific'!

The original production comes in two versions, but with the same flavours, a Club Edit and the Extended Mix. The Club Edit is aimed at the DJ's who like to use shorter versions in their mixes, while the Extended Mix completes the full journey as intended by the producer. Regardless,'Pacific' is an exploration for the senses and builds in progression.
The track evolves over time from rumbling basslines and a haunting pluck into the calm of the break. Melodies take shape but when the kick hits, a new chapter of progressing sounds start to take form. The true climax of 'Pacific' lies in the final third, when the main lead opens up completely and orchestral strings widen up the soundscape even more. Every layer rolls in like one wave over another, making 'Pacific' a breathtaking masterpiece in several ways.

Monsoon Desire is a beautiful melodic effort of Indian producer SpinduckZ on melodic uplifting trance. It's no powertrance by any means, but a track that communicates happy feelings throughout. The track is a strong advertisement for the League One imprint, combining feelings and modern production, while being original at the same time.

Back on our imprint and for the first time on our League One SubDivision is Dutch producer GeorD. We are excited to present our own dreammaker once again, with the beautiful contrasting track ‘Ouranos’. Starting like a heavy rain, but with a sunburst from the breakdown.

‘Ouranos’ is the follow up to the moody track ‘Lucid Dream’, released on our label earlier this year. ‘Ouranos’ starts with that same moody feel, but slowly develops in a more euphoric track, especially when the breakdown introduces some more uplifting melodies. GeorD proves to be a master of translating moods into a song, and with this one, named after the Greek God of the sky, we can certainly feel the contrast between heavy rains and beautiful sunrays breaking through the clouds.

GeorD is a producer who doesn’t compromise and follows his own style. He dares to sound different. This is why we are proud to have him on the label for yet another release.

Aiming to bring back some of the freedom and creativity in Trance music, our label offers a stage for producers who deliver something different. Saiwon certainly does this with ‘Uprising’. A melodic journey that puts back feeling in the music, instead of going for power only.

‘Uprising’ is an instrumental Trance track, that could be labelled as uplifting trance, but has a much more classic feel to it. The track leans heavy on sweeping melodies and pads, a wonderful piano breakdown and a progressing lead after the climax. This is Trance music from the heart. A standout track in many ways.

After a bit of radio silence, we are proud to finally bring you the new LiftChain release: 'Beyond The Stars'. With his previous track 'Metamorphosis' receiving heavy support from the likes of JES, Paul Van Dyk and Suzanne Chesterton a.o., 'Beyond The Stars' continues in the same fashion, with the signature LiftChain-sound. A hybrid style of progressive trance, more uptempo proglifting sounds and a both catchy and tranquil pluck melody. The release is accompanied with a more techy approach from iamMTN and includes an Ambient version from Colombian producer Phillipe Lois to top it all off.

The Extended Club Mix contains every ingredient that listeners of previous LiftChain releases have become familiar with. The track kicks off with a groovy bassline to give the track its proggy feel before the energy slowly starts to build towards the breakdown. A spoken message leads up to the mesmerizing pluck sequence that can be found in a lot of the productions by LiftChain. It gives the track an emotional layer, which, combined with the uptempo use of progressive sounds, culminates towards the climax that instantly feels like the trademark of the Denver-based producer.

LiftChain - Beyond The Stars (Extended Club Mix) [Premier League Recordings]

Summer feels are in demand all year, regardless of the seasons. Sienna Collective provides the perfect lounge track to take your mind to the sound of lapping waves and the fading warmth of the last rays on your face before sunset. ‘Ocaso’ is an ode to these sunsets. With the release of this more Deephouse orientated track, Premier League Recordings wants to show that many styles can fit the Trance feeling. 

Sienna Collective is a collaboration project between Dutch producer Mark Van Rijswijk (Genzuru) and talented multi-instrumentalist Anja De Bruin. ‘Ocaso’ is the second release, after their track ‘Bliss’ which recently came out on Daniel Wanrooy’s Elpida Music. 

The Extended Mix is a blend of deephouse and lounge music. The track features both digital production and real instruments, of which the Spanish guitar sound is the most prominent. The track reminds in a distance of productions like Coca & Villa’s ‘La Noche’ but certainly has its own sound and feel. The perfect soundtrack for a Sunday afternoon at any beachclub, as well as any dark and rainy day to fight the winter mood.

Last year, Dutch producer GeorD already proved what a versatile producer he is. Now, the creative mind returns with a new release called 'Polar Expedition'. GeorD always dares to step away from the common sounds and this new track proves it again.

'Polar Expedition' builds along the lines of a modern proglifter, but the melody and choice for the lead sound are original. The track displays a certain feelgood mood throughout. On remix it's an honour to welcome Swiss producer TP One to the label. He manages to add a bit more energy to the track with his uplifting styled rework.

After a small hiatus, Nth Factor makes a blasting return to the scene with his vocal bomb 'Wings Of Hope'. The track is a very special project for him representing the closure of a difficult period for everyone and the hope better days are coming if you keep looking for it and believe they are just around the corner. Not only the message is an uplifting one, Nth Factor delivers a high energy tune in his signature power uplifting style.

On vocals we have the wonderful Luscjo. The German singer already made a name for herself due to collaborations with artists such as Simon Fischer and Paul ICZ and releases on Ablazing, Future Sound Of Egypt and Abora. She now joins the ranks on PLR, delivering a stunning vocal performance for Nth Factor. It's a proud moment to host such a beautiful voice on the massive return of Nth Factor.

Kelvin Rowlands is an upcoming name in the trance scene who made a name for himself last year with modern edged uplifting tracks which are firmly rooted in classic trance sound choices. The track combines soaring pads and melodies with a modern day kick and bass sequence. A showcase of what Kelvin is capable of!

Starlight Sun' is the debut track of multigenre producer Liddell. Under his trance-alias, the UK-based DJ and producer delivers a great melodic uplifter with an atmospheric breakdown. The track explodes in energy after with a strong melody that easily sticks. 'Starlight Sun' is a modern trance track that can hold its ground pretty well on its own, that's why it is released under our 'League One' imprint. Previously doing the rounds already as a self-released track, ‘Last Horizon’ has been picked up by Premier League Recordings now for a full official release. It’s the debut single on our label for D.J.G. & M.I.K! With the stunning vocals of Louella, who ventures into trance waters for the first time.

‘Last Horizon’ managed to make some waves already but received additional remixes now by Paul Fletcher and Stuart Davidson. This is a full-on vocal uplifter that is both catchy and energetic.

Louella previously did soul and R’n’B tracks, which shows in her voice. She delivers a touching and soulful vocal for this track and it fits like a glove with the high energy trance from D.J.G. & M.I.K! They have made a name for themselves as DJ’s and streamers already but prove to be excellent producers as well. The remixes have their own strengths. Where Paul Fletcher takes a more melodic approach, Stuart Davidson chooses a banging rework even containing some techtrance elements.

A massive vocal release and a huge honour to welcome this on Premier League. Be sure to stay tuned because the follow up might be on its way already!
