really like the melody and chorus..hard to deal with your regrets/past but we learn from mistakes hopefully although our record of repeating histories mistakes is not great

After two fiery singles MOVING INTO TUCSON return to retrospective territory with their new single RUN & HIDE. “You can run, but you can’t hide.” Well, MOVING INTO TUCSON do prove with this new single that the two can go together. At least in a song. It’s another melodic, melancholic ballad of these song crafters from the low countries. It is hard to keep your eyes dry. Who knows what the future will bring? Maybe you will hear MOVING INTO TUCSON performing this new single live on your national radio station. Or you might see them playing live on stage later this year, promoting their next album somewhere in a club downtown. Everything is possible! For now, stick to what you do have and that is this great new track RUN & HIDE!

The Amsterdam based band Moving Into Tucson is quickly causing a stir. Having only just started releasing their first singles and debut album Distraction in 2023.

Moving Into Tucson songs can be described as contemporary indie pop rock with an early 90s sound, sometimes dark, sometimes mysterious, or vague, but with depth in the music and certainly in the lyrics. Or as one music magazine wrote in a review, “Moving Into Tucson is the best you can get for making rock music sound so 90s in 2024.”

The unfinished journey of the lost tooth

method: first, I created a shaman-monk-version (mostly ‚Gregorian‘ voice and jaw harp) on cassette tape (this is where some of the noise - especially in the first section - derives from) and zoom r20 with a vacuum-tube pre-amp for the voice ….. all of which I then treated like a field recording sample in Samplitude - sculpting it with vst instruments and effects. 
narration: it feels like I have sonified this poem a million times before …. which might be the case because I have lived through it that often - I and others I dearly care for …. but then again … I might have actually done so. it is also part of the cycle SONIC CASCADE published in  A SINGLE LOOP OF FORTUNES. Alternative titles are ‚TWO-PLACE‘ and ‚04s SAMPLE‘. For this publication, I simplify the title to  ‚SAMPLE‘.
