Fearless

Cloudspotting for violin and piano explores an 11-chord sequence traversed cyclically 10 times, where the step increases by one with every traversal. Successive traversals of the chord sequence create a generative soundscape dominated by four note patterns in the piano, groups of long notes in the violin, and unusual harmonic shifts. Floating violin phrases have inspired the title, recalling clouds in slow motion across the sky. The work aims to find unexplored possibilities, new meaning and feeling in traditional consonant harmonies and familiar sound textures.
World premiere by Dušan Panajotović, violin and Bojana Dimković, piano, at the 34th International Composers Review, Belgrade, Serbia, September 29th 2025.

Occasionally we capture something at rehearsal that we send to dummer Dane Renshaw (Thailand) and guitarist Bruce Musser (U.S.A) to add their respective talents too.  As always Aporia may or may not record more music... guess we are halfway to an album.

L’ultimo tema di “MISCELLANEA II” è una mia riscrittura della canzone “Musica Dolce” del Complesso “GEN SOLE”, una melodia di altissima ispirazione. 
Il Complesso GEN SOLE nella seconda metà del secolo scorso ha creato e presentato molti brani di notevole contenuto artistico.

The final theme of "MISCELLANEOUS II" is my rewrite of the song "Musica Dolce" by the "GEN SOLE" ensemble, a melody of the highest inspiration.
In the second half of the last century, the GEN SOLE ensemble created and performed many pieces of remarkable artistic content.

Post-primitive

Collaboration between poet Balthazar Mattar and composer Alex Nikiporenko, Pretty Tensions is an exciting new duo reviving the art of melodeclamation and striving to create original works through this practice. Their performances are visceral and intense and engage in creating an abstract atmosphere. The tension between the poetry and the music crafted carefully by the artists to intertwine with one another creates jarring and unnatural combinations which catch the audience off guard.

Both artists are highly fluent in their respective mediums through the skills and experience they have acquired at the top educational establishments. 

Pretty Tensions are hoping to establish themselves on the London arts scene and expand artistically through interdisciplinary collaborations.
