For the sixth chapter of the Navigare Audio Podcast we got the privilege to have the multi faceted creative artist and sound-sorceress, Henrii Havaas from Norway.

"It was such a pleasure and bit of an emotional journey to create this mix for the Navigare Podcast Series. This is my first podcast I have made in the fields of Techno, so therefore I was not quite sure how I wanted this musical storytelling to develop. What I can say is this, the Ambient in the beginning is reflecting the time I have spent in solitude and rebirthing myself from life changing happenings this year. From there on I wanted to mirror a groundnes and a dance with the elementary power, sort of finding back to your roots kind of thing. 

All together, this journey is about celebrating being a human being, loving every single version of yourself and honouring the music that makes us flow, here and now."

About the mix:
If we describe the mix in a nutshell, it's ambient and hypnotic techno combined with sounds of the living nature.
The main purpose of this mix is to bring the listener a little closer to nature. At least one step. As much as possible through music. The singing of birds, the murmur of water, the buzzing of insects and the noise of the wind are organically woven into the tracks throughout the mix.

It's like a leisurely walk through a summer forest, when we deeply breathe fresh air, admire the views and try to hear every sound that nature gives us.

Some of you might already know the producer/Dj Arkaean's (based in south England) work: after a noticed release on Silent Season end of 2019, he played the Lāsya Festival (curated by Klara, summer 2021). The young talent paused to travel, which gave him opportunity to wander various festivals. Back from his adventures he delivers a set punctuated w. transcending sounds, ambient/down tempo tribal beats, haunting bass lines & colorful, organic pads as well as trancier accents. Thank you so much Billy for this soulful, immersive & entrancing journey. <3

"Arkaean seeks to induce a primal trance state through the use of modern instruments and technologies — a form of hi-tek sonic archaeology, in quest for ancient insight.

In the juxtaposition of organic recordings with purely synthetic processes, new environments are revealed, alien yet familiar. A vision of primordial life bubbling away in a parallel universe, or the chatter of chimeric critters on a distant Earth-like planet.

After much tinkering in the Ancient Technology Division's headquarters, fresh ectoplasmic material takes on a corporeal form and will be certified for distribution as soon as the final filtration is complete."   :—)

As I glide through the juices of the ocean, translucent memories move my skins covered by hypnosis.
Resilient sounds touch the depths of the water.
Like jellyfish we are, morphing biogenetic shapes gliding the wave, our blood the beat. 
Enchanted by the echoes which rely in profound secrecy. 
Transforming into sensibility of jellyfish, creatures of deep sea.

Memories of the past appear near me.

When I was a jellyfish I was everywhere, 
I was feeling the very small fish moved by the dances of sands, 
from far far away atmospheric reflections were singing to me.
I was sound, smell, lucid, light, body, touch.
I was ocean seen as my limbs,
my shape almost unseen.

I was the reflection of the ancient luminaries, 
gassers, quasars
and supernovas, 
still palpable in the sky, 
but already long gone in space…

A ritual of dance; eternal metempsychosis.
From blue ocean stars in veils of coral leaves,
to shinning radiolarians, molecular expressions full of lustrous life, 
frail and delicate,

stories of twinkles in the night sky, the glooms of the ocean,
crystalline and fine….

All were born and shall die in the same vessel of time.

Like the Ocean, the scapes we live in exist in many ways; a journey through dark into light; 
and so, this set represents the depth, the earth, the water, the path, and the devotion to exist in time.

Inspired by a place named Talampaya, somewhere in the rocky deserts of Argentina.

A place where big part of my heart remains in the eternal present, bathed in the endless spectrums of what 'time' means, once someone thinks to comprehend the incomprehensible.

AYO/Julie Schønherr Rosengreen has been playing and composing music since she was a child. With a background as a violinist, and as a classical musician, the ambient genre was later a place where she felt at home.
A place where she could express and unfold herself freely.
Julie is educated at the danish national academy of music, with a bachelor's degree in electronic music and sound art. Here she has honed her expression and developed her "voice" in order to be able to stand stronger with her message and vision.
The AYO project strives to send a message of a more harmonious cohesion with nature, with each other, with ourselves.
Julie has toured with her AYO project all over Europe since 2015, but has also played in countries such as Morocco and Nepal. You have been able to listen to her at events such as Freqs of Nature in Berlin, Anthropos Festival in London, Tivoli in Copenhagen and 7 Chakras Festival in Italy. In the summer of 2023, you will be able to experience AYO live at two of Europe's biggest festivals: Boom Festival in Portugal and Ozora Festival in Hungary.
