Fabrizio Lapiana [Only Vinyl] joins for DifferentSound Podcast #115.

Fabrizio Lapiana is an italian DJ, producer and a founder of Attic Music, based in Rome. He started his career as a Dj back in 1994, influenced mainly by the early 90's sound of Rome and Detroit as well by the first european pioneers of electronic music. In his DJ sets, Fabrizio makes a precise and intimate techno flow that seduces the dancefloor mixing new and old vinyls range from deep, intricate techno, through an acid and groovy darkness with some melodic gems along the way. With his label “Attic Music”, founded in 2008, Fabrizio grow up his sound combining deep aesthetics and techno grooves often allowing ambient or industrial elements. To remember also the strong collaboration with Max_M on his M_Rec 10'' series in 2014, that showed his most emotional view of techno. His performances in Rome as well in some of the finest wordwide clubs are a way to offer his right vibrations in the techno scene in the last years: the energy created by Fabrizio's sets worth living!

DJ and label owner Linny Hex’s hallmark as one of Sweden’s most frequent techno DJ’s is to flourish on the borderland of night club and underground parties. Recognized from supporting Swedish electronic music on Swedish national radio you might have crossed paths with her as she performed at Department festival, Into the Valley or Norberg Festival. Today Linny balances her dj career with managing her vinyl only label Kvalia Records, already known as having cementing its position in the deep techno scene by releasing records produced by the likes of Psyk, Anthony Linell, Exos and Blazej Malinowski.

We adore Mary in so many ways and for so many reasons.

Commanding a space within the deeper realms of techno with a natural grace and energy we can’t help but find ourselves drawn to, Mary has dedicated the past 14+ years to nurturing her love for electronic music as a DJ, producer, label owner and vinyl distribution manager. 

When it comes to DJ’ing, her memorable selections and technical skills shine through time and time again, while her productions are an essential for any deep techno lover.

Mary’s outputs, no matter what form they take, all radiate with her deeply rooted love for electronic music - a scene to which her contribution cannot be underestimated.

Her mix for On the 5th Day is a deep and uplifting ride delivered in a way that, as per usual, had us hooked from beginning to end.

Diogo Lopes aka STNDRD (Montalegre, PT) started his techno journey in early 2018 with some releases as STNDRD and Simbiose (duo).

Defined by his hypnotic, dark and mental sound, his music has been released in labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Children of Tomorrow, Edit Select, Subsist, INNSIGNN, ATD, TMM, Ucker Records, R3volution, Warok, Selected Records or BAHN· Records, the label launched in 2020 hand by hand with BAHN· crew, where he is an active member of the collective since 2019.

Diogo has shown his skills lately in the legendary clubs Moog and Razzmatazz in Barcelona, where he is now based, but also performing abroad in Berlin, Oporto, Braga, Cluj and Sofia.

With experience as label manager through the years with partnership on Mono Records and The Gods Planet, he later established his spin off project label Ness Reworks in 2018. Ness music and dj set are well accepted and defined as an exploration of wide range of deep hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes.

Deep/hypnotic/sometimes mystic monthly podcast since late 2016, leaning toward slightly raving Techno in strong, unique signatures, supporting both established as well as emerging Djs/artists and focusing on pulsating, atmospheric deep sounds. Based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Prior Act has a preference for free spirited people/set lengths, esp. toward Live sets and vinyl building approach (since Day One). Note: 6 years ago (channel was paused for 2y 2018-19 becuz of triggered misogyny), point of honor was made to not promote any local DJs, same afar - in my own techno musical taste/range, IF their gender-equality support/perspective reveals to be based on social posing (and/or 'friends based') i.e: if motivated by exposure / publicity / status / image & bookings conveniences (all the while displaying clear sexism in private, repeatedly. Some of them, years in a row). Same for narcs and their enablers.
