Devenir Maleza was one of those projects that just arrived in our overflowing inboxes one day out of the blue. We opened the link and discovered four finely crafted, beautifully produced and captivating tracks of transformative, percussive music. 

It rare to find music that marries so well recorded percussion, live instrumentation and vocals with deep electronic productions without one dominating on the other. With Devenir Maleza Prisma and Martin Broder, a duo based between Berlin and Buenos Aires, managed to find that sweet spot that we love so much here at Shika Shika: deep, electronic but natural, acoustic and introspective. Or as the duo describes it: “a crackling, soothing, hypnotic lullaby.” 

Devenir Maleza’s was inspired by the concept of “becoming” and of transformation in many aspects. Through their long-distance collaboration the duo’s starting point was to imagine music becoming la maleza or “the undergrowth”, as if it the synths, vocals and instruments were sinking into the humid earth or drawn from the whistling wind or emerging from a rustling forest. 

The duo is joined on the EP by the talented singer and pianist Maria Barone as well as techno-producer / percussionist Merlin Genschel.

Adem KURT:
Being a story-teller who encapsulates noises throughout a shared-universal narration of culture is the main sound concept behind of Herhangi's perspective. Since 2012, under the name "Herhangi", Adem Kurt has been producing and giving live performances by capturing emotional depth sounds. Based in Istanbul and Tokyo, Adem also works as a music director which gives him access to create instances of creation/alteration/cancellation in a multi-disciplinary art.

Brazilian born, currently in Lisbon.

I like exploring music around indie dance, progressive house, and more.

Prisma is Nicolas Di Bernardo, born in Buenos Aires and currently based between Berlin and Thailand. Organic, crackling textures that shift between tranquility and turbulence. Complex rhythms, otherworldly atmospheres, warm sequences, Influences from inner and outer space exploration.

Miroslav, known in the electronic music world as MiRoMiR, is a name that literally translates to "glorify peace." Through his live performances and sets, he aims to share his boundless love for the world through musical harmony, using organic sounds and Eastern melodies that create a unique atmosphere and immerse listeners in unforgettable experiences.

MiRoMiR’s musical career began in southern Russia in 2019, when he first encountered the magic of organic and ethnic house. These sounds, filled with deep vibrations and Eastern motifs, captivated his soul and instantly became his passion. Since then, MiRoMiR has dedicated himself entirely to music, constantly experimenting, blending, and discovering new facets of sound that touch the deepest strings of his listeners' souls.

MiRoMiR is a magician of sunsets and musical stories, transporting his audience to another world, filled with deep melodies and enchanting rhythms. During his musical journey, he has amassed an impressive repertoire, including genres like deep ethnic Deep House, Ethno House, Downtempo, Organic House, and Indie Dance. However, a special place in his heart belongs to Afro House, which MiRoMiR masterfully mixes with Indie Dance, creating unique sets where Western culture and African rhythms merge into a single sonic palette.

What makes MiRoMiR truly special on the electronic music scene is his ability to create magic in the moment. Sunsets and sunrises are his element. He has lived along the coasts of various seas and oceans for more than 15 years, witnessing thousands of sunsets, and knows how to capture that magical moment, conveying its entire atmosphere through music. MiRoMiR’s sunset performances have become his hallmark—a natural phenomenon that becomes an essential part of his set, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in an indescribable atmosphere and feel every note on a profound level.

Since 2022, MiRoMiR has been conquering Southeast Asia, performing in countries like Vietnam, Bali, and Thailand. His sets are more than just music—they are musical stories that reflect personal experiences, immerse the audience in the atmosphere of different cultures, and convey the unique experiences accumulated during his travels. His music allows each listener to live their own story, finding in the melodies those emotions and experiences that deeply resonate within the soul.
