I am a DJ/ Producer, Promoter, and director of Convex Collective

Convex Collective is a new venture for creative electronic music in South England. We are a group of young producers/composers/DJs and have come together with an incentive to share and develop our music and interests in appropriation of new technologies and performance. Our desire is to increase public awareness of intelligent electronic music and build ties to work on projects with similar organisations, regionally and internationally by hosting performances, participating in residencies and involving ourselves in as many explorations as possible.
Convex Collective is intending to be a platform to promote, discuss, perform, create and progress.

Schtumm! is a Brighton based club night running since 2007. With humble beginnings in restaurant basements playing host to secret guests like Radioslave, Richard Norris, Cagedbaby, and Pete Herbert in the early days, the night grew into bigger spaces and has since brought acts including Eats Everything, Maya Jane Coles, David August, Cajmere, Jamie Jones, Danny Daze, Art Department, Mulletover, PBR Streetgang, Luca C, Ali Love, Tensnake, Kris Menace, Deepgrove and Danton Eeprom to Brighton.

Brighton based Electro Hipsteppas Prjct Myhm are vocalist Princess Sections, Producer Captain Clamp and their mysterious masked drummer Troystick.

All students of their chosen arts, their crossover sound with rawkus lyrics, massive bass and slamming breaks have made a big impact on the Brighton scene since they arrived in the middle of 2008.

Expanding on the now set Dubstep template, their performances have caused reviewers and promoters alike to take note, with support slots in the past twelve months for Dubstep dons Rusko and Skream, a barnstorming performance to open the Great Escape festival and have played at many of Brightons best events including Square Roots, Playgroup, Yo!! , Them, Brighton Live and Loop festival.

Combining Hip-hop, Dubstep and Electro with a punk as fuck attitude and high energy live performances, the MHYM’s strictly D.I.Y aesthetic is hard to ignore.
