Continuously trying to exceed his own limits, MARRØN employs fast rhythmics inspired by his roots. The artist’s moniker pays homage to the strong-willed Marrons, a once-enslaved African tribe who defied oppression and found freedom 
in the primeval forests of Surinam. The hypnotic, percussive beats characterizing MARRØN’s foundational Afro Deep style have evolved to form a singular conception of techno. His dynamic take on the genre is at home in the underground, most notably in his role as co-founder and resident of Amsterdam’s Eerste Communie. MARRØN’s capable command of groove, power, and texture is no doubt a convincing invitation to stay on the dancefloor for hours.

After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.

In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray and most recently started a new project with Ben Sims as ‘Assailants’ which they’ve released on their own imprint ‘Obscurity Is Infinite’.

A rigorous international tour schedule has since followed, including stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, The Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.

With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.

[ro] Inward String este proiectul personal al lui Liviu Runcan, cunoscut pana in 2013 sub numele de “Archer”. Produce muzica din 2010 fiind difuzat, printre altele, pe Rinse FM, Bassdrive, Sub FM, Ministry of Sound Radio, Radio Guerrilla si Radio 3 Net. Muzica lui oscileaza sinusoidal intr-un amestec eclectic de sonoritati electronice, trecand prin ambiante cinematice, ritmuri sincopate, ecouri si delayuri, glitchuri taioase si basi adanci, toate inglobate intr-un live set energetic.

Berlin-based, London born DJ & CONTR4ST Label owner, fka.m4a has become a stalwart of underground music with a heady blend of Italo, HI- NRG and House. With several Boiler Room appearances under his belt - clocking up over half a million streams combined - plus shows everywhere from Berghain / Panormar Bar, Timewarp, Tomorrowland to Awakenings, features in Mixmag and Electronic Beats, plus Peggy Gou in his corner as a mentor, his stock is firmly on the rise. 

Born in London, music was always front and centre in his family home, his mother playing music to him through headphones while he was still in the womb. Citing acts whose USP was female empowerment as the first music he found for himself, the likes of Spice Girls and Lil Kim were early musical influences, eventually leading him to start DJing on the queer scene in London. 

“I was working on the Soho & East London circuit” he says. “I was mainly doing guestlist and hosting but eventually they asked me to DJ and I spent a few years cutting my teeth on that scene.” 

Learning how to work a crowd as a pop DJ, seeing Honey Dijon DJ on his first trip to Berlin in 2016 led him down the rabbit hole of electronic music and led to a shift in his focus. 

“I completely fell in love with the storytelling element of her set,” he says. “I spent the next year immersed in dance music culture and started playing the electronic room at gay nights.” 

Moving to Berlin in 2019, the pandemic quickly put a stop to his burgeoning DJ career before a switch to recording streams from his apartment during covid saw his profile blow up, leading to signing with an agency and bagging his first Panorama Bar set when lockdown lifted. 

With Peggy Gou taking him under her wing and asking him to regularly open for her (“She’s helped me out so much and we have a really strong relationship,” he says. “She calls me her daughter and I call her my mother,” he laughs.), fka.m4a’s schedule got hectic with sets everywhere from Warehouse Project to Sonar and a focus on producing their own music. 

“It’s important for me to make music that works in the club,” he says. ‘But most importantly, it’s about making something that comes straight from the heart. I think I’ve achieved that on my first EP and I can’t wait for people to connect with it.” 

With an event series in the pipeline and a summer stacked with festival shows from Hï Ibiza to Terminal V, fka.m4a has firmly cemented himself as one of the leading artists in the underground space.

Foreign Policy is the electronic music project of Berlin based Thomas Ricard, co-founder of Area Z Records. His sound can be described as a mix of influences oscillating between club oriented EBM-Techno and Industrial music, combined with a taste for dark cinematic atmospheres and soundscapes.

This project aim to make people dance and smile in the dark corridor of techno inferno 🌒

And on this techno beat I will build my temple. This declaration of creative awareness must have gone through the mind of the spanish DJ Anika Kunst on more than one occasion since she started out as a DJ in 2001. 
Whenever she deejays in Barcelona or Ibiza (the two places she lays her hat when she isn’t touring), you can tell that her techno, equally influenced by German and American sounds, is the cornerstone of her sets. Well, you can tell if you are one of those weird people on the dance floor who has time to pay attention to what is playing and isn’t dancing. Because the charismatic creator of Chapter Records won’t let you look at her whilst she is looking at you: she deejays with her eyes on the dance floor. She reads the audience, manipulates the mood and reads the night. She rules.
