I made a rather unexpected EP inspired when I tried out the Peripeteia demo by 90sGraphics.

The dark atmosphere in the game was a strong inspiration for this music.

I also created an illustrative album art, where I could try drawing Marie again (and I really enjoyed it). Overall, a small EP, but I'm very glad I did it.

The title track ‘Backrooms’ teams Uplink with Manchester’s lyrical heavyweight Diligent Fingers, delivering a dystopian soundscape of glitched-out atmospheres, razor-sharp breaks and soul-rooted storytelling. ‘Code Denied’ follows with surgical detail - a steely, mechanical roller built for warehouse floors and dark headphone sessions alike. On ‘Infiltrator’, Uplink taps into covert jump-up territory with stuttering bass hits and stealth-mode energy, while ‘Liquidators’ closes the set with cold precision - pure minimal weight and calculated intent 😮‍💨
