Cid Inc’s Replug Records caps off a successful year by welcoming Dmitry Molosh back to the label for a new artist showcase. The Belarus native and progressive music favourite rounded out 2018 with his chart topping ‘Detektor’ EP for the Finnish imprint. 2019 has seen further successes, with EP’s for Guy J’s Armadillo Records and Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music sitting as the highlights. Now fresh off a contribution to Nick Warren’s Balance compilation, Dmitry lands back on Replug with ‘Cascade’.

Firmly sitting amongst progressive music's elite, Dmitry continues to deliver some of the genre's most beloved tracks with 'Cascade' being the latest in a long line of gems. Fuelled by rhythm and groove; it's chunky foundation, driving percussion and buoyant rhythmic core form the backbone of this exhilarating journey. Panning effects and emerging atmopheres smoothly segue into the main break, shifting the narrative further into melodic territory. Sitting comfortably in an ethereal yet emotive space, the lead motif rises, resonating on a warm and inviting frequency, gently evolving across a foggy atmospheric backdrop, before a gentle rush sparks a thrilling final act.

The companion piece ‘Step By Step’ follows suit with an equally impressive display of rhythm and groove. Spacious and energetic, it’s a creation built around rolling bass tones and vibrant chord stabs. Ethereal phrases and buzzing effects converge as the first act unfolds, while colourful vocal fragments shift energy into the break. Timely modulation adds drama and tension across the one minute interlude, ultimately reaching a swirling crescendo and perfectly setting up a powerful third act.

Dmitry’s long standing relationship with Replug has spawned several of progressive music’s finest moments over the last half decade. ‘Cascade’ once again follows suit and looks set to be one of the winter seasons most in demand releases.

Interaxxis returns to the label with fresh music for 2020. 

For the past 7 years the Argentinian duo has worn a familiar path. Sun-drenched beats, warm melodies and devilish grooves set them apart from the crowd and releases on Selador, Hope Recordings and Balance Music cement their position among a handful of South American producers with real global appeal. 

First up is ‘Bleakness’, a sombre exploration of interconnecting melodies and textures. Stripped back percussion and a rubbery low end gives rise to playful synths, pads and FX telling their melancholy tale. Next, ‘Sikker’ draws you in with its bass power. Stark, icy sonics rally against field recordings, deep melodies and machine funk bass. Finally, ‘Inside’ featuring Paula OS is trippy downtempo left turn into the afterhours; Paula’s sobering vocals working against the dubby backdrop hypnotically.

The Argentinean continues to impress with ever more interesting and daring music. Clear are the improvements on every release he drops as solo artists or in collaboration with the Bristol titan Nick Warren. So much so that his influences such as Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Guy J and, of course, Warren himself, have now become peers and high profile fans.

'Satori' opens his account here, a deeply satisfying groover that showcases his prolific talents in the studio. Delicate pads waft into earshot nestling against the sparse percussive body of the track whispering of delights to come. On 'No Matter What' Rada ups the pressure with a nagging sawtoothed bass and eerie echoing vocal shots. Dubby and spacious, its cinematic feel belies its epicness.

The latest release from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Da Luka to the label for his debut single. The Albanian artist has grown into his country's premiere progressive house talent, backed by the support of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Cid Inc, while releases on Balkan Connection, Dopamine Music and Soundteller Records highlight his discography. Now making his much anticipated Dopamine White debut Da Luka presents his new single 'Into The Stars' alongside remixes from Eric Lune and Kenan Savrun.

Beginning with the Original Mix, Da Luka moves into deep, progressive territory with a warm spacious groove, smooth rhythms and clusters of tantalizing effects. Alluring and mysterious, it's dramatic flair rises with layers of percussion and spacey sweeps leading to a section of emotive chord changes. Cosmic motifs continue to saturate your senses, perfectly setting up an interlude of astral meadorings before smoothly segueing into a groovy finale.

The first interpretation of 'Into The Stars' is provided by Eric Lune who makes his label debut. Having appeared on parent label Dopamine Music in January of last year the Aussie artist also calls Juicebox Music, Plattenbank, Sound Avenue and Timeless Moment home. Now following two well received collaborations with Juan Sapia, Eric makes his Dopamine White debut with a gorgeous rendition of 'Into The Stars'. Setting the piece in motion is a bed of tough beats and mountainous bass tones. Airy vocal fragments and smooth chord changes elevate mood as layers of percussion and colourful melodies flow through the framework. Poignant tones continue to bend the narrative across the main break, adding waves of emotion, before a tasteful crescendo cues a euphoric conclusion.

The release concludes with Kenan Savrun providing the second and final interpretation of 'Into The Stars'. Hailing from Ankara, the Turkish artist has a long history as a DJ dating back to 2003, having shared the booth with Alex Niggemann, Eli and Fur, Andy Bros, Victor Ruiz and Oliver Huntemann. Upon releasing his first productions in September of 2018, Kenan has since gone on to showcase his music on 3rd Avenue, Droid9, Eat My Hat and Movement Recordings. Now making his much-anticipated Dopamine White debut, Kenan provides a powerful rendition of 'Into The Stars'' to round the release out on a strong note. Anchored by a driving groove, the Turkish artist's rhythmic drum work and fluid electronics build a strong cadence. Shimmering arps add nicely to it's hypnotic storyboard, while swirling effects and luminous tones perfectly segue into the main break. Spanning over a minute in length, the interlude is tastefully tense, backed by a solemn air and laced with crisp designs and powerful bass swells, before effortlessly shifting energy into a pulsating finale. Another inspired remix from Kenan Savrun, which caps off an excellent offering from Nikko.Z's Dopamine White. Don't miss it.

Since making their label debut in 2016, Emiliano Folgar and Martin Kazez aka Interaxxis have found a comfortable home on the Finnish imprint. The Argentinean duo have since gone on to provide an EP and single for the label, while also being primary contributors to Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings and Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank Records. Now following a collaborative remix with Lost & Found alum Sahar Z and their latest Sudbeat offering ‘Bleakness’, Interaxxis returns to Replug with the much anticipated ‘Bowry’. 

Beginning with the title selection Interaxxis explores the darker realms of their highly regarded repertoire. Atop a tough, rolling foundation comes arpeggiated rhythms, buzzing stabs and striking percussion, resulting in a unique contrast of character and groove. Effervescent effects and stream-like sweeps continue to build the narrative, ultimately setting the course for an enthralling lead melody. Tense yet cosmic, its dramatic nature elevates across the main break, flowing through expressive modulation, before an exhilarating crescendo spearheads a charged finale. 

The EP’s second and final selection finds Interaxxis collaborating with fellow countryman Guille Cornejo aka Antrim. Also a Replug alum, the Cordoba resident made his label debut in 2019 with the well received ‘Trip To Red’. As a long-time favourite of progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, Guille also boasts an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Sudbeat Music, Hope Recordings and his own Or Two Strangers imprint. Now coming together for their first ever joint production, Interaxxis and Antrim round the release out with ‘Isolation’. Its dark beginnings prove intriguing, as punchy beats, perfectly contoured bass and striking percussion unite for a robust rhythmic core. Devilish effects further it’s fiery flair, before hopeful overlays and nostalgic chord changes shift the mood into emotive territory. Building through an array of impressive artefacts, the centrepiece captivates with a rare unpredictably, before eventually accelerating to a tasteful crescendo and effects laden drop. It rounds out an impressive return to Replug for Interaxxis and Antrim, who continue to be two of the world’s foremost progressive music talents.

SNOE turns 5 years in August, and we celebrate this with a spectacular release by our label boss herself, Beth Lydi. This two-tracker is nothing short of addictive, and the title "Funk On The Dancefloor" reflects all of our yearns to be able to return to club and festival floors soon.

The first track, which happens to be the title track, is a wild tune packed with energy. A one of a kind groove shakes and rolls while the vocal element creates the perfect frame for frantic and playful synths, the whole tune building up massive momentum that comes to a sweet and sweaty release in the drop. Pure Tech House at its finest with Beth's signature style written all over it.

"Quirk" pulls back a notch, but carries on the punch with a heavy hitting bassline and groovy percussions. The synth, delicate yet fierce, leads you towards the ecstatic moment when you know the only thing you can do is let yourself go completely. A free fall into the realm of beats. It is quirky but intense, hence the name, with a lot of passion unfolding on the journey.

We are excited to give you our SNOE056, and hope this can funk up our dance floors all around the globe soon!

On our final release of 2020, Marc Holstege and newcomer duo Jaquomo each offer strikingly tender original tracks, while remixers Moonwalk and Fabian Krooss rework them with dancefloors past and future in mind. The result is a split EP that bridges the gap between the intimate, highly personal experience of today and the nostalgia-driven hope for tomorrow. 

On Marc Holstege's 'The Boy In The Garden', melancholic strings rise and fall endlessly over a slow breakbeat and shimmering synths. But it's the soulful, contemplative male vocal sitting at the song's core that reaches straight for the heart – and won't let go again. 'Wolves (Sunday Morning Version)' is equally touching, as the Dutch producer guides another delicate vocal through a dazzling slow-beat arrangement with profound results. For their remix, the Italian duo Moonwalk then strip 'The Boy In The Garden' of its sentimental atmospheres, cunningly remoulding the vocals to fit their razor-sharp and cinematic peak-time sound.

Jaquomo's 'Replace Space' is sure to run on repeat. Here, Caro Mac's vocal incites our memories for those lost loves as it floats over pensive chords and a crunchy trip-hop beat. 'Close & Hide' is pitched-down piano house accentuated by another ingenious use of vox, making it just as moreish. Rounding things off with a bang, Fabian Krooss reimagines 'Replace Space' as a playful italo-disco opus of arpeggiated basslines and wonky synths.
