From time to time he found himself lost within his own train of thought. They weren't fantasies or dreams but inner visions, predictions of the future in which the world around him was very different.

For a start, it was all green. Everything, everywhere was radiant and glowing in the warmth of the sunlight and wild plants, leaves and trees were all around.

Then there were the people dancing, they moved freely beneath the warm glow and merged with the shadows which separated their celestial bodies. He wished it might never end but soon enough these visions would end, only to be replaced with the stark grey of reality.

Yore Records are set to release an inspired EP by Dj Compufunk. This one is all about showcasing house music at its very best. Tracks crafted with precision and uplifting, euphoric melodies designed to produce serotonin.

Edward - Hidden Mirror

The computer screen stared back at her; as blank as it was when she started a few days ago. Inspiration just wasn't coming at the moment, her head was empty of thoughts, she couldn't even muster up a sentence. Each morning, in her sleep deprived state, she'd give herself a mental pep talk - today was going to be the day it would flow... But they didn't seem to work and now she'd got herself in too deep; it had become a task in itself to unglue her eyes from the screen. She had to prize herself away, at least just for a moment, perhaps then the answers she was searching for would finally become clear.

For Those That Knoe's mission has been the same for its near decade-long operation. Dedicated to shining a light on obscure and under-the-radar artists of recent past, the Boe Recordings sub-label has helped to revive music that hasn't gotten its due recognition first time round. For their next release, rather than looking to the past, they hone in on a contemporary artist who has been bubbling below the surface in his home of Slovenia.

Vid Papez, AKA Vid Vai, joins the label for his debut LP Laminar Flow: a collection of tracks that tip the hat to early 90s IDM, UK bleep and breakbeat. His classically trained background - he plays violin, lute and guitar - comes through in each track's composition. They're precise, intricate and flow like water.

For their second installment, the Chateau Chepere crew brings on board legendary producer Stephan Laubner under his STL moniker, with four time warping pieces of music. With his distinctive and intricate sonic palette, Laubner extracts from his hardware different musical colors and shapes to produce singular atmospheres. Opening up the EP is Fly Fly, an epic 11 min minimal house trip full of tension and excitement, followed by Eargrind, an eerie, laid back Detroit leaning ballad. On the flip is Light Up, a spaced out, playful and bittersweet number that will revitalize any hazy after-hours dancefloor. Closing up the EP is Unlike Dislike, a quirky, jacking and mischievous techno workout for the packed club. This diverse ep will pull the listeners and dancers into Laubner's multifaceted, low key but captivating universe.

Freund der Familie invite Christopher Rau, Pole, Roger Gerressen and Van Bonn to remixes cuts from their 2018 ‘Panorama’ EP this February.

Leipzig, Germany’s Freund der Familie, the producer and label name, has long been respected in the world of raw, underground house and techno. The past decade has seen the founders Klaus Rakete & Mirko Hunger unveil a number of releases under the alias, exploring a wide range of styles influenced by dub, leftfield electronica and much more. Here the label revisits the ‘Panorama’ EP from a few years back, welcoming remixes from some esteemed artists in the industry.

Christopher Rau returns on remix duties following his take on Symbian for FDF005 and also FDFALFA01, this time round Rau delivers a hazy take on ‘PRS’ driven by raw analogue drums, woozy synths and winding subs.
