Berlin-based producer Kaufmann unveils her powerful new single “Mother” on VOLTA Records. This evocative release is accompanied by two standout remixes from Tao Andra and Mila Journeé, each bringing a distinct vibe to the energetic original.

“The vocal is undoubtedly at the centre of the track,” Kaufmann explains. “I took inspiration from a well-known System of a Down track and placed the mother at the heart of the story. It's actually my own voice, which I processed with AI, among other tools. I wanted to combine the energies of my favourite genres: techno with some psy and a pinch of metal."

Tao Andra’s remix takes the track into hypnotic, tribal-influenced techno terrain, while Mila Journeé lends her signature melodic touch with a cinematic, driving reinterpretation.

“This is my second time releasing with VOLTA Records,” says Mila Journeé. “The first was a two-track EP that did really well, and now I'm back with a remix of a really cool track by Kaufmann, at the invitation of Victor, a great friend and production partner who I love working with. So it's all about good music, friendship and good vibes!”

The first single from Sian’s upcoming album, Chaos, sees Sian and Bobby Nourmand release their collaboration, "The Language" - a bold plunge into the visceral edges of indie dance. Anchored by a quaking bassline and crystalline synth stabs, the track pulses with raw, almost primal energy, tailor-made for sweat-soaked basement club dancefloors. Its ferocious rhythm and subtle textural shifts create an immersive narrative, while the lethal vocal evokes voodoo-like incantations. A standout track that demands attention from selectors aiming to bridge gritty techno with dancefloor hypnosis.

PROPER LANE is a project born in 2014 from the collaboration between David Caparros and Arnaud Beilleau. After around twenty releases under their belt, the spearheads of the NBM record label return with a brand new project. Their first album “Switch” has been released in early 2024 and marks a genuine change in the duo's artistic direction. They offer polished, effective techno and always resolutely geared towards the dancefloor, sweeping different styles, faithful to their rock, electro and psyche influence. 
More productive than ever, a number of tracks are already in the pipeline, promising great collaborations with Luis M, James Pumping, MNGRM, Luv and Dirty Groove.
