808 Catz is a collaborative project between Filth Inc. founder Aniket Dabholkar (Full Motion Disaster) & Satyajeet Prabhu (Barasingha).

Coming from Lo-Fi House and Drum & Bass respectively, the two decided to meet midway at the 160 bpm to serve up some jazz-inspired footwork and instrumental hip-hop.

Vol. 1 comprises of two tracks, the first of which is 'Roses' - A footwork re-imagination of a soundtrack to a film-noir murder mystery as performed by a jazz quartet with an 808 drum machine.

If Bill Evans ever decided to write a song with Portishead, the result would be the next track on the EP- 'Slow Talk', featuring vocals from the talented GMB.

Both tracks are best enjoyed on a cold rainy evening in a smoky backroom of a jazz bar with whiskey on the rocks.
