Minako begann im Jahr 2012 als Vollzeit-Raver. Mit dem wachsenden Traum, ein Teil der DNB Szene zu werden, nutzte sie ihre Skills für ihr eigenes Label Banana Bass Music, das 2016 als Studentenprojekt mit zwei ihrer engsten Freunden startete. 
Ihre DJ Karriere startet im Jahr 2018 als Hobby und wurde schnell zu einem neuen Talent. Während der Lockdowns, mit Hilfe befreundeter Produzenten und DJs konnte sie ihre Leidenschaft endlich weiter voranzubringen.

„Meistens fühle ich mich von meinen Gefühlen überwältigt. Musik (auflegen) hilft mir dabei, diese Gefühle zu kanalisieren und besser mit ihnen umzugehen. Ich schätze sehr, dass ich dieses Ventil für mich gefunden habe. Auch die pure Freude meine Lieblingsmusik zu hören und mit gleichgesinnten zu zelebrieren, gibt meinem Leben Sinn. Ich atme Drum & Bass und auch mein Herz schlägt im selben Rhythmus.“

We’re super excited to welcome Minako for this week's episode. Starting out in 2012 as a full time raver, she soon followed her dream to become a proper part of the DnB scene by using her communication skills to found her own label @bananabassmusic with some close friends. In 2016 the label took off and since 2018 she decided to take her passion for DnB to the next level with the help from some fellow producers and DJs and turned a hobby into a new talent. ‘Music and especially drum & bass helps to channel feelings, which makes it so much easier for me to deal with them. But also for the pure joy of celebrating my most beloved tunes and music genre of all time. I'm a drum & bass nerd and this rhythm just tunes in with my heartbeat.’
