Rounding off this Columbian extravaganza Kamilo Sanclemente and Dabeat deliver 'Reflector'. Kamilo's music has appeared on The Soundgarden and Anjunadeep, and here brings his melodics to the release. Dramatic yet warm, this sold gem really delivers the goods!

We are delighted to welcome the multi-talented and legendary Argentinian duo Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte aka Analog Jungs to the hallowed halls of onedotsixtwo. These guys have been consistently delivering amazing music to labels such as Hope Recordings, The Soundgarden and Or Two Strangers to name but a few.

The pair come to us armed with two beautifully crafted melodic bangers named after the beautiful Spanish coastal city of Marbella and the glitzy Canadian metropolis of Vancouver. 

Marbella is a luscious, well-spaced track that utilises its catchy melodies and soundscapes to draw you in, all underpinned by a bouncy bassline and tight drums which propel the track forward for those early peaks as the dancefloor begins to fire. On remix duties for Marbella we’ve enlisted the globally renowned progressive maestro, Israeli producer Golan Zocher.  Golan has added some big jets to his remix raising the heat with a new lead line and all the trimmings. 

Next up is the powerful ‘Vancouver’ which is designed for those late moments of being lost in the groove and melody. On the remix OLD SQL Recordings head honcho Kandar brings his distinctly spacey and rocking elements turning this remix into a peak time slammer, guaranteed to whip you into rave sweat like its 1989.

Marbella / Vancouver

Onedotsixtwo continues to strike whilst the Progressive House iron is well and truly molten hot. Our 26th release bears the fruit of a magical meeting of minds, namely Australian favourite Matter & Sri Lanka’s Prince of Prog, Dimuth K, with their Road to Stanton Moor EP.

Matty and Dim deliver two absolute belters for this release. The lead track ‘Road to Stanton Moor’ is a deep and throbbing builder with tight percussion and eerie effects layers that float in and out of the track, as it rockets towards a momentous breakdown that’s guaranteed to send any dancefloor (or, right now, living room) sideways. 

The AA side ‘Exhale’ packs a progressive punch in equal measure, built around beautifully crafted synth lines and infectious melodies with some serious low end rigour for late night moments. Exhale made its debut at Woodstock 69 in 2019, grace à our old friend Hernan Cattaneo, and it’s been that elusive ‘ID-ID’ ever since, popping up in numerous sets from Hernan and Nick Warren since last summer.

We’re delighted to have Matty back on the label and welcome Dim with open arms … The pair have a really unique sound when their forces meet, and we wish them every success for this new chapter for them both.

Next up are the French producers Franz Kirmann and Sam Berdah, behind the Days of Being Wild label, with their remix of The Pace of Everything that Lives. The two have taken this sombre and emotional track and given it a groovy and industrial paint job. Really embracing the oriental elements that Pyrame originally included, yet kicking it up a notch, they’ve almost changed the format completely with distorted mechanical synths that oscillate and vibrate, deciding to continuously layer these over the top of one another. Progressing further into the track, the producers known for creating “slightly deranged club music”, have kept the angelic euphoria from the original, but decided to isolate the voice during the breakdown to give you a taste of the enchanting world from beyond, as it effectively fills the track with a spooky and tension filled aura. A really interesting disco-noir approach to a progressive track.

The Remix EP of The Pace of Everything that Lives is set to be released on both Vinyl and Digital, on October 16th via Thisbe Recordings.

Kicking off 2021 by continuing to support up and coming talents in the modern underground dance arena, Meanwhile begins the year with a twin-track offering from gifted Ukrainian artist, Nōpi, and his sublime "Spoon Light" EP. One of the brightest stars in the underground house cosmos over the past eighteen months, Nōpi has continued to excel with a raft of original and remix material throughout 2020. An array of leading imprints has thus queued up to feature the Ukrainian's work with Cid Inc.'s Replug, the ever-reliable, Anjunadeep and Jacob Henry's Silk Music all releasing original music in the last months of the year; the latter with the mesmerising seven-track "Bila" EP that has seen Nōpi reach a fitting high point at year's end. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the title track is a scintillating tour de force that bristles with trademark emotion and glorious melodic brio. Driven purposefully forward with rich, sustained bassline and delicate percussive flair, shimmering pads and muted arpeggio pan the stereo spectrum with ease as ethereal vocal cuts whisper barely heard phrases, rich in reverb and delay. Building in intensity via a glorious breakdown, "Spoon Light" picks up the pace again in the third movement to create a rarely heard emotive intensity as dizzying gated synths add further aural colour. Partner track, "Creative Sheet" continues the intelligent melodic narrative of its predecessor as an intricate percussive top-line and immaculately syncopated bass groove provide a wonderfully worked rhythmic framework. Evolving seamlessly into the second movement, an expertly woven sonic tapestry reveals itself via panned effects, pulsating white-noise washes and potent synth phrasing. The result is a magnificent illustration of Nōpi's talent and ability to match groove and melody with poise and purpose. A returning artist to the Meanwhile catalogues, Imran Khan makes his original EP debut with the label's twelfth offering, "Horizonz / Push Thru".

An artist who has seen his stock rise at considerable pace after a raft of original releases on Clinique Recordings in late 2016, Imran Khan has gone on to see his music featured on such esteemed imprints as Balkan Connection, Stellar Fountain and Proton Music. A pair of remixes of GMJ and Matter's "Lost on Origin" marked an impressive Meanwhile opening salvo in October 2020 as the UK star now returns with two sparking new original offerings.

Opening with "Horizonz", a light percussive line sits atop a trademark cone-melting bassline while a heavy kick nestles perfectly in between. Evolving in seamless style, ticking hi-hats add further to the relaxed groove before flowing pads and searing synth line shimmer in reverberated echo chamber manner to create an eerie and haunting atmosphere. A searing analogue lead makes its presence felt at the mid-point before a head-shaking dancefloor collage erupts in the third movement to scintillating effect; the result creating a stunning debut from the UK artist.

Continuing the cavernous bassline and deep rhythmic groove narrative, "Push Thru" cuts an intriguing figure as organic staccato sound pans the stereo spectrum in pitched tape delay. Surrounded by an array of innovative spot effects, a muted synth line wends its way over the sonic horizon, gradually rising with open filter and increased release envelope to create a sparkling crescendo jam-packed full of modern progressive house credentials. Reverting back to the seething bass groove post-breakdown, "Push Thru" showcases Imran Khan's skill and craftsmanship in lavish fashion
