Set in the time when violence wrecked Ahmedabad, ‘The Search for Light’ is a song that speaks about communalism in general and the 2002 Gujarat riots specifically. It is quite saddening to see the ruins of the concept of religion, a concept that originally sought to unite man and bring peace to the world. Modern times paint an uneasy picture of leaders trying to convince people with fake promises of peace while using quite ironic slogans such as ’The War for Peace’. In reality it is a deliberate war waged against peace itself. Amidst horrific images of burning houses and blazing shops, Humanity seeks hope. Humanity searches for light.

'Bills' is track appropriately, albeit not very creatively, named after just that- bills.Those dreaded documents that arrive to sullen your cheery mood at the end of every month, as you suddenly find yourself regretting the fancy new shoes in your closet and that night of generosity at the bar with your friends. Well, hopefully our song will be of some help in consoling your heavy heart, even if not much can be done about your empty wallet

Hoi-An is a small, scenic beach town in Vietnam, which happened to be a pit-stop in a personal journey in which two wandering souls unwittingly fell for each other, knowing well that it would only last as long as the journey did. This song, with its pleasant ukulele and violin interplay, is a tribute to that short lived but everlasting memory.

Intergalactic lights is about this intrinsic dilemma whether individual fates are truly governed by celestial entities or by the individual themselves. Is it worth giving up on things citing fate, or can individuals within the nano-second of their relative existences change what they truly believe in. Our pseudo-intellectual take on lives, zodiac, astronomy and everything between us and the universe :)
